Thanks for starting us off Holly & glad you had a nice day with DB & DSiL. Shoes are the bane of my life - whenever I find a comfortable pair I always forget to buy a 2nd pair:rotfl: & when I go back the line is discontinued:mad:

:bdaycake: Happy Birthday nannywindows :) another year younger :D I count backwards & forwards between 21 & 30 :rotfl: so this year I will be 23 :rotfl:

:hello: Angel_Jenny - maybe you can combine your quick clean with a bit of decluttering:D I was kind of blinkered when I started my ‘journey’ either one or the other  now a combination of the two means I get a little boost each day:D

(((Hugs))) to everyone who needs or wants one :)

Managed to get up to say goodbye to DH as he tootled off on the motorbike for a day away from me & my DSis:D He does this thing called the Round Britain Rally where he goes off & takes pictures of landmarks in England, Scotland & Wales. He accumulates points & then gets a nice wooden trophy at the end of ‘the Season’

DSis is currently having a long soak.

Started off cold & overcast but no rain & it is finally starting to warm up. My plans for today are to continue with the re-declutter of my kitchen cupboards & do a small shopping trip with DSis.

Have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Well that was an experience. I don't think they have many Nans go to the baby clinic as the changing area was the floor. Getting down is a doddle but getting up again gracefully isn't so easy. Someone mistook me for an older Mum....She must have been being polite. Saying that I was the quickest of all the Mums getting their little ones stripped and dressed again and Diva wasn't exactly being cooperative.

Youngest has just turned up with the girlfriend. They are both walking ok, saying that I don't know what they do in these clinics...obviously nothing invasive.

Was going to make a lasagne for tea but I can't shift my lazy bum off the chair.

    Hoppy Birdday Nanny.
I haven't posted for a couple of days - like Mehefin I tend to stay quiet if I've nothing really to say.

However - today we have emptied four pots of bulbs off the patio and planted them up near the back fence. Cue the digging of four ruddy great holes. In rock 'ard ground. By an elderly chap with some form of neuropathy going on and a Lupie woman between them, ably assisted (?) by a very nosy Shih Tzu.

We got there, eventually; my knees are complaining big-time though (I ended up doing 90% of the digging myself) so I predict a couple of doses of Oramorph before we get to bedtime.

Afternoon lovelies, my you are such a great bunch of people :A
Thank you all for your kind birthday wishes and lots of cake :D.
I feel like I have been celebrating all weekend, even the Queen only has two birthdays.:rotfl:.
The funeral went ok this morning but a male voice choir sang Calon lan as we went in and there wasn't a dry eye in the place.
Lunch was lovely, I had a salmon fillet with sweet potato fries, but couldn't manage a pudding. We had a voucher for 40% off too, so that was good :T.
Right hold on to your hats, feel free to skip the next bit :).

Holly Glad you had a good time with your DB and SisIL
Judi I hope you can patch things up with Grump and sort out Prodigals clothing situation.
Tru I love hearing about Scampi's antics.. good or bad. I hope he has calmed down by now.
Dumpling I am sending positive vibes for Phoebe as she embarks on her exams. Fingers crossed that Becky's plan works for her.
NMLC have an extra hug. Men can be so childish sometimes.
AOD the final countdown. I hope this week flies by for you.
TA I hope Mr TA's appetite is on the up if he is asking for food. Mr Fix It's ankle is not too bad but he is sleeping more than usual. Roll on Wednesday.

Snoozer enjoy Yorkshire and have a safe journey. Well done to your SIL's younger brother too.
Mehefin Diolch. Now I'm singing the whole thing in Welsh ( and that's not good when you are tone deaf like me :o.) Hope your DS enjoys his new job.
MrsSD You know me so well ! Yes I am 23 again :rotfl:.

Sorry that turned into an essay, and there's me of very few words, normally  :rotfl:.

Sounds as if you've had a wonderful day nannywindow - hope the good times continue.

Welcome to Angel_Jenny - dive in!

My Monday students are eventually finished! Deadline was 5pm and it took some doing for a couple of them. Somehow they can't understand direct instructions. One chap wanted me to sift through my emails to resend him stuff from February - that was just not going to happen. Think he did it with his inbox.:rotfl:

It's kind of muggy still though the air is not as heavy as this morning. I've got both the front and back doors open for the gently breeze.

Today's food has been rubbish - I succumbed to an easy life and picked up a very yummy hot roll from one local cafe. Now I need some 'proper' food. A rummage is required.

I've got a couple of pieces of work to complete tonight, nothing too taxing but just annoying. It'll soon be over for the summer.

Cup of tea please, if anyone's making!
