    Morning Everyone,

This morning it is humid and very dark looking - no rain yet.

Back to work to today for me - only 7 weeks to the next one.

I had a busy week off which included two birthdays, a couple of outings , a house valuation, a visit to get a quote for a funeral (not for me) .

Yesterday was my moms birthday - I managed to get her home to my house - put on a buffet and my daughter came over , so it was a nice day.

    Welcome Angel_Jenny

Hope everyone has a good day x

    Morning
    Welcome Angel_Jenny

    Hot again here but cloudy.

Not been good over the weekend I cooked a pork loin fillet on sat for dinner and lets just say it didn't like me or I didn't cook it properly so spent yesterday very close to the loo and got no sleep at all. On a positive I may well have lost a pound or two as nothing passed my lips but water which showed up immediately anyway ...sorry TMI:D

Still feel a bit delicate this morning which I could do without as it banana day  usually a tues I know but I have a couple of conference calls tomorrow for work. When I rang to tell her she gave me a lecture on how this really messes her routine up (she doesnt do anything but clean) She got some shocks coming once Im back to full work capacity it may have to be evenings or weekends then....oh I can hear the meltdowns.

Looking forward to this evening Im off too a friends house for a pizza and Love Island launch party:j Yes it is my guilty viewing passion and no I don't care about the sniffy disapprovers ....thinking about it maybe I could get mum to watch now that would ramp up our lunch time convos :rotfl:

Anyway hope you all have fun days :A

    Morning all.

A bit of an early one for me, so just a quick check in before I hit the shower.

DD and DGD came to lunch yesterday and gave me a pile of pressies including a new Stephen King book, that’s me sorted for some holiday reading. DD also provided my birthday cake, my favourite, a chocolate Caterpillar cake. ( note to self “ must start to act my age and not my shoe size ! :D ) We didn’t eat all the cake so some went home for SiL and DGS. DGD thanked me for her lunch but told me she didn’t like the moose meat ……. it was roast lamb :rotfl:.
DGD has also started stage school, I don’t think she needs any lessons in acting, but nevertheless she gave me a solo performance of Bugsy Malone, the singing, dancing and acting bits!
I have opened my birthday cards this morning and Mr Fix It has given me a huge box of my favourite chocolates. (There goes my diet again. ) He is also taking me out to lunch later, but sadly we have a funeral to go to first.

Hope everyone has a good Monday. Hope to pop back later to find out your news.
    Take care and many hugs.

    nan xx

    Good morning everyone,

I hope you all had a nice weekend.

To update you all on the burglar/gun situation. I think he's appearing in the High Court in Glasgow at some point this week, which is good news.

I leave on Wednesday for Ibiza for 5 days on a stag do. 25 of us going in total and I know most of them so it'll be a good laugh. I've saved my pennies and I'll take it all over on a travel credit card thing. Can't wait.

As for today, I've been to the gym and I've got 2 x games of 7-a-side tonight.

    Angel_Jenny - Welcome and good morning :)

Morning everyone and welcome to Angel_Jenny,

It’s been a very hot and uncomfortable night but it seems a tad cooler now with a welcome breeze so all the windows are open in a hope that it will cool the house down.
I want to get down the nursery this morning to get some plants so that I can finally make up my baskets, think we are ok for frosts now! Other than that it will be a trip over to see Lu this afternoon and a general tidy around the house.
I have seriously over eaten the last few days with far too much cake, ice-cream and wine so it’s a fast day today so hope that keeping busy will stop me thinking about food :rotfl:

Hugs to Dumpling and those with worries, worrisome OH’s or poorly tums.

Have a good day folks x

    Morning all

Bit murky down here. Busy packing and cleaning and tidying before our short break to Isle of Wight. Need to be all done before we go to art class tonight, as leaving very early am.

Dishwasher whizzing away and shortly to go exploring in freezer for dinner, but first, coffee and a catch up here

Happy birthdays, welcomes and hugs to all those where appropriate
