Welcome Angel_Jenny and happy birthday nanny windows!

Nelski you have been a model of restraint, I probably would have suggested the insertion of a banana in a place where the sun don't shine by now.

Am going out for lunch with injured friend, will probably have to cut hers up for her. She can manage to eat one handed but not to cut up..

Stubbed toe last night, is now purple just like a grape, so so fetching.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

    Welcome AJ, happy birthday Nanny.
Very overcast here today, CHS is on lates, my tenant is complaining about the decking, one of her kids has put their foot through it as it is rotten, I know it's rotten the silly cow covered it in plastic for 6 months!!
And breathe, at least I'm not dealing with it any more.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

    Morning all,

    Happy Birthday Nan,have more cake:bdaycake:xx
Hope the tum settles soon Nelski :(
    Good luck to Phoebe,dumpling
Sorry to hear of grumpy DHs & Scampi, perhaps the heat is getting to them ;)
AOD- not long to go now ,we're all doing a countdown with you :)

Ly1a was out for her walk early, being a giant breed and dark coated she soon starts panting if its very sunny ( not that it is this morning) We are off to the vets with her later to see if her ear infection has cleared up properly, but we have the 1st appointment in the afternoon so hopefully not too busy.

Thanks for your supportive comments about our back garden/street. Its hard to say what will happen now its in the hands of the council legal team, just hope they support the majority.Because our lovely young neighbours moved out a month ago and the house is empty,I did some weeding in there yesterday so it doesnt look unloved should there happen to be any inspections by the highways department ;).That reminds me I need to get the weeds into the green bin before tomorrow.

Looks like the clouds are shifting a bit :T I think I'm going to make steak wraps tonight for tea so that's quick. I'm off to see elderly auntie up the road later this morning, not seen her for a bit as she's been on holiday.

Our bbq tea was lovely last night, even better cos DH did it all apart from the salad :D
Hope you all have a nice day xx

Just popping back on to wish nannywindow a very Happy Birthday :bdaycake:

and also to say welcome to Angel Jenny, I've read your other thread on Old Style and it was lovely. Hope you manage to rein in your over thinking :).

Lasagne sauce is made so I can just chill for a few hours, I've already fallen asleep in front of the tv...was watching Border Patrol and woke up to a cooking show, very disconcerting :D.

Happy birthday Nanny. Welcome Angel Jenny.

Just a quick one before we start our journey to Yorkshire. We are travelling to Doncaster in separate vehicles because the van has to go in to have the faulty water pipe replaced.

I just remembered to cancel the window cleaners because the house is covered in the roofers scaffolding, they would probably have charged me because they come from Skipton.

Ziggy is back home. We met DD at South Mimms services last night for the handover, she had a car full, one of them being S-i-L's much younger brother (21 to his 40 and not a step-brother either) who has just gt a First from Glasgow Uni, well done him.

    Morning all from Mehefinland.
Not posted for a while but if you haven't got anything to say, why say it IYSWIM.
DS started new job today. Its with a company that make specialist dressings with fly larvae. Apparently they eat any necrotic tissue . Cutting edge stuff and pioneered here. He left at 7.30 for an 8.30 start and got there in 25minutes. Bit different from the last job when the commute could be over an hour!!
Both mares got oohme feet at moment. The ground has gone like concrete here so they are feeling it a bit. Farrier tomorrow.. more money!
Rileycat has a competitor..another stray, but we think a little girl. Yesterday he was looking through the crack in the barn door at her? sunning herself on the other side. This could prove interesting as he is a bully , but a good barn cat.

Hugs and spoons to those in need. Penblwydd Hapus Nan

Morning (((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one, Judi and Happy birthday to Nannywindow.

Overcast, I have stripped the bed and the sheets etc are on the line. I have remade the bed without OH's help, at times its more a hindrance but he does his best. He is out in the garden enlarging the path which lead to an exchange of views last week......the grass he is taking out is leveling up the lawn we had cut back to put the small patio in. It dips in one corner.

Left over chicken with salad for supper tonight......may be home grown strawberries too, I need to go and have a quick look.

It is 3 years today since we signed on the dotted line and got the keys to the bungalow. A lot of work in the garden has gone on since then. We have been massively helped by a couple of people.

Popped back to wish NannyWindow a happy birthday for today (or was it yesterday?). Hope you have/had a lovely day._party_

Prodigal has been and gone... He's in a mess again. Its evident he is not taking his medication and he's 'lost' all his clothes.... Well, except the clothes he is wearing obviously.:o

Diva is asleep. Hopefully she will have a good sleep as she kept her Mummy up most of the night.

Messages from Grump. "Sorry we had a rubbish weekend". At the moment they are falling on deaf ears. Most our weekends are rubbish.

    mehefin dont be a stranger.

Wave hello to Angel Jenny and Happy Birthday to Nanywindows.

Much cooler today with a pale grey sky so I am having a lazy day in my dressing gown till now. Breakfast of tea and toast and there is salad, potato salad and salmon and chicken in the fridge from yesterday.

My fancy new vacuum (all singing and dancing and saving £50 and not in shops till August) is due to be delivered today and I have ordered some soft drinks, stock cubes, bin bags etc from approvedfoods at about 60% or more off rrp. I even found a couple of maternity dresses that dd might like on a special offer so chuffed with myself.

    Hugs to all,
