Ive got zone alarm is that better than comodo or not as good

Dont know about Comodo, but ZomeAlarm is very good, I wouldn't bother changing just for the sake of it. Stick with what you have.

I personally changed from Zonealarm (that I'd used for years) to Comodo. I don't know if ZA has changed much recently but I had to uninstall it because it installed Mail Frontier without permission which is a pain and caused problems with Outlook. It also took up much more memory than Comodo does. Ever since that MailFrontier fiasco (I hope they've now removed it from their program) I don't think I'll ever go back to Zonealarm. Installing 3rd party software without users' permission is a big no-no in my book.

  • Never heard of that Mail Frontier program, could be a new thing. I've not personally used any type of software firewall for some years now. I probably should, but I've got a hardware firewall setup that does the job. I know it doesnt monitor outbound stuff, but I watch what I do and have never had a problem.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Thanks Browntoa for posting up this. I've just downloaded and it's currently doing an intensive scan of my pc, found loads of things, nothing serious though. I run NOD 32 (P) on my PC, have a firewall and also Adaware (P). Plenty info on other free programs I can use though as well. Thanks everyone for the info. :-)
