barclays basic current account

Contacting these guys is a nightmare, i spent 20 minutes waiting for a telephone adviser and the guy could barely speak english, the online chat they just contradict everything they say.

When the letter from the bank comes in this week i'll go down to the branch.

I received my contactless Debit card from Barclays this morning, however monzo beat them to it so i will be using Monzo but keeping my barclays account incase i ever need it in future...

Do barclays close accounts after a period of no usage ?
