If this is a windscreen PCN that wasn't one, then there is a VCS defence among the examples in the NEWBIES thread.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

  • No it wasn't a windscreen PCN. Was a mobile camera type, that resulted in a NTK by post.

OK so Google VCS Liverpool parking defence and VCS v Crutchley and read any results that lead you back here, or to pepipoo forum threads. There are defences out there, some won, some lost.

With a Claim Issue Date of 19th February, you have until Monday 11th March to do the Acknowledgement of Service, but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it. To do the AoS, follow the guidance offered in a Dropbox link from post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread.

Having done the AoS, you have until 4pm on Monday 25th March 2019 to file your Defence.

That's over a month away. Loads of time to produce a perfect Defence, but don't leave it to the very last minute.

When you are happy with the content, your Defence should be filed via email as suggested here:
      Print your Defence.
    1. Sign it and date it.
    2. Scan the signed document back in and save it as a pdf.
    3. Send that pdf as an email attachment to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk
    4. Just put the claim number and the word Defence in the email title, and in the body of the email something like 'Please find my Defence attached'.
    5. Log into MCOL after a few days to see if the Claim is marked "defended". If not chase the CCBC until it is.
    6. Do not be surprised to receive a copy of the Claimant's Directions Questionnaire, they are just trying to put you under pressure.
    7. Wait for your DQ from the CCBC, or download one from the internet, and then re-read post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread to find out exactly what to do with it.

The image of you Claim form has VCS's reference number clearly visible.

You would be wise to obliterate that.

Perhaps Le_Kirk could also remove his link to that image.
  • Cheers guys - I'll get on that.

Also, as per your recommendation KeithP, I've re uploaded a new image and edited that link.

Done, even though I check links before making them live, missed that due to small print.
  • Quick question, as the husband to the RK, whose done most of the reading and research on this, am I able to represent the RK in court as a layman? And if I can, is there any additional steps to make it happen at this stage?

    Cheers.
