At the hearing the judge awarded costs and gave them 2 weeks to pay. Its been 16 days since. We never gave any details and assumed cheque would come by post. Whats the done thing in this situation?
Have you received a copy of the court's judgment; because that will give the payment due date.
This has just landed through my letterbox in the last 10 minutes.
    £106.58 on or before 4pm on 9th November 2020.
If I am just recieving this now, have they been told to pay in a more timely fashion by the court?

If you mean the cheque has just arrived, they have dragged their feet, that's all!    Take a photo and frame it, then bank the actual cheque.

  • No, not the cheque (I wish!).
The 'General Form of Judgement or Order' has just arrived. Where it states the date that should of paid by, that has elapsed.
Was questioning whether the courts informed them sooner about having to pay.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Email them a copy of the Order and give them till the end of the week to pay you or you will enforce the Order with bailiffs.
