Well done on your car boot SNTCC! Re the extra money - do you have spare time at home (I'm not sure you will, as you always sound so busy!), but maybe you could so some ironing or similar from home? I have a friend who makes £1 per item she irons, and it racks up pretty quickly if you are speedy!

    Hi Everybody,

What a week I have had up to now. Work is just crazy as a person has left and another one has gone off sick which looks like it is going to be for a few weeks. So, I have been working 10 hours a day to try and keep up with some of the work. Just having a little break now and a nice cup of coffee.

This looks like it is going to be for a few weeks which on the one hand is great from a cash point of view but on the other hand I really do not feel like I have no life. But, the plus side is I never have time to spend any money, because I have no time.

So working a ten hour day today / tomorrow / Saturday, then all next week and then onto the conference for the weekend. Busy, Busy times. So because of this I am not going to try and do ebay and car boot sales this month as well, I do not think I can do both. So my extra income this month is going to come from work. As soon as I get paid I am going to pay the lot of CC3 to get that balance down. I may treat myself to a nice costa coffee but that will be it. I really know how to live it up!

jwil - Thank you so much for dropping by. I hope all is well in your world.

Gemsy81 - Thank you for dropping by. I hope life is treating you well. At the moment I would not have time to do this as work is just crazy, but it really is a good idea. To be honest, I have been putting together a plan to start a small business as well as working. I do think I have a good idea but it is really early days at the moment as I am trying to put it all together at the moment but it has gone on the back burner at the moment because of work. However, I am hoping it will not be there for long. Watch this space.

Take care everybody and I hope you all have a great day

  • Morning everybody,

Well, I am still hard at it. Worked all day Saturday as overtime, I really cannot wait to get paid, it is going to be amazing.

I am working all week doing ten hour shifts until Thursday. Then Friday I will be leaving work at 2pm and traveling down to London for the conference weekend. I am really looking forward to it.

All the extra cash I am earning is going straight off the debt as I feel this will motivate me if it comes down to carry on.

Yesterday I cleaned the whole house, went food shopping, washed and ironed and that was the day gone. But I just think there will be other weekends when I am not so busy and can do something nice then.

I have put the money in my tins this morning, which is great knowing the annual bills are taken care off.

All the birthday presents for this month have been given out ( there was five of them this month ) It ended up costing me £23.00 for presents that I needed and cards so that is fantastic. As in pre lightbulb moment I would have gone out and spent about £20 / £25 on each person, and just used a credit card. Sometimes I do not think I have changed but when you look at things like that I know I have.

I have not made any more payments on my cards last week, it has been a quiet week for that. However, I am not letting it bother me as I have been working and will be paid next month for it.

Take care everybody and have a great day.

    Afternoon Lindez,

Thank you for your kind words, they really do mean so much. I am so happy to hear reading my waffle has motivated you. I just keep thinking if I do this that will mean I can make an extra payment which will reduce that horrendous amount of money, and that is my motivation as I really need to see it going small and smaller.

Car Boot this morning was ok. I made £120 which is going into the bank in the morning and I am going to pay it off CC3. That balance is slowly coming down so this month I am going to watch every penny so that I can pay as much as possible off it.

Lindez, I hope you have had a nice weekend and keep going it really will be worth it in the end.

    Take care

Hi Say No to Credit cards well done on the car boot sale. I am just catching up on your diary, you are doing brilliantly and working so hard. I hope the conference goes well for you and I am willing your target for October payments come way down or better still be cleared off. *bay is a little hit and miss, though I have had some sales. I must add and I don't want to sound ungrateful to people that bid, but honestly some people want things for nothing ha ha. I need to get a bit tougher I list things at really low prices hoping the bids will go up and I get some people putting silly offer in:rotfl:
I am loving all the tips on your diary thank you to you and all the followers on this thread everyone is so helpful. x

  • Morning,

lindez - Thank you so much for dropping by. I know what you mean about ebay with the people that want something for nothing. To be honest with you, car boot sales are worse than ebay, please do not get me started. When somebody asked the price and you say £5 then they come back with 50p, you just feel like putting the item back in the car and saying it is not for sale. I really do not think it is just me that thinks this way as well.

With regards to ebay I do not use the best offer facility now as I felt like I just spent all my time rejecting silly offers. Why do people do that they really need to get a life.

But, on the other hand ebay is still great for decluttering and generating some cash.

jwil - Thank you for dropping in on me. I cannot wait for weekend, which is crazy as I know it is work. However, I will be travelling down to London on the Friday afternoon, checking into the hotel and the rest of the day/evening is mine, so I have decided as work have purchased me a zone ticket I am going to go and do a little exploring.

Saturday / Sunday are work days from 9am - 6pm. Work have booked some nice restaurants for Saturday and Sunday so it will be such a change from the routine of home. It is like a mini weekend away with some work in the mix.

I a feeling tired at the moment with working so much but hope the weekend will perk me up a little.

Not paid any more from the CC but I am being really patient and know when I get paid next month I will be able to make a big overpayment. Then I will be happy.

Hope all is well in every bodies world and life is treating you well but cheap.

Oh I meant to say I will not be taking my Credit Card over the weekend, which is a big change for me.

    Take care

I find that frustrating when people want something for nothing. On ebay if you use the best offer, you can set it to auto reject offers under a certain level. I always use that, it saves a lot of hassle!

It's annoying at the car boots too, I always stick to my guns. It's really frustrating when you want to buy something but someone got there first and the seller accepts a silly offer when you would have paid twice that amount for it!

It's nice that you'll have some free time in London :)

    Good morning everybody,

I am back in the land of the living after working all those crazy hours.

    Just a quick up date.

Last week I worked 10 hour days every day which was really hard but the over time next month will be amazing. Then on Friday I jumped on the train to London. Got to the hotel about 4.30 so I dumped my bags and off I went. One of the other girls decided to come with me so we went and had a quick wonder around Covent Garden then Harrods. I did not buy a thing. We had food in the hotel with everybody else which was paid for with work.

Saturday we were at the conference until 6pm. It was really interesting and I had a really good day. I decided to not get on the tube back to the hotel but walked along the Thames which was really nice as I got to see some of the landmarks of London.

On Sunday the conference ended at 2pm and we had an open return ticket so a few of us went around London for a couple of hours and got the 7pm train home.

It has taken me until now to get over it. I was so drained when I got back but had to get up on Monday morning to go to work.

Any way I am fine now and ready to go again.

Payday today so all the minimums on the cards have been paid, which always makes me feel better know that next months minimums are all sorted out. Also, it makes me feel so much better know any other payments I make during the month are extras which is great.

This time next month I will be able to hit that amount I wanted to pay in a big way as all my overtime will have been paid. Fun times.

jwil and lindez thank you so much for dropping by and checking in on me. I know what you both mean with people on ebay and car boot sales but if we all want to earn some extra cash we really do need to put up with them. It is just a case of trying to reduce the amount of idiots you come into contact with.

Any way must dash as I am on a break from work and need to get back to it now.

    Have a lovely day
