  • Hiya,

I have only just recently started running training so it is really early days for me at the moment. However, if I need any help in any way I know where to come.

Your running partner sounds very interesting. Sorry about the injuries, you have to be so careful because companies can be really funny about sports injuries and time off work.

You take care of yourself and don't push yourself to hard.

My advice slow build up dead dead slow do this

A short run (interval training with this one)
    A mid run (steady pace)
And a long run (slow pace)

pop 48 hours in between each run.

Just week on week slightly increase each run 0.1 too 0.3 miles.

That's all i have done my log run is up to 11 miles now. God help me i have 32 days to go

    Hi Everybody

Not much to report really. I have just about got over my 4.30am start on Sunday for the car boot sale, but it was worth it.

Paid another £6.99 off CC3 today as a payment came into my bank from Quidco. So I was really good and as soon as it hit my bank it was paid off CC3. Make the total amount to find before the end of October £1779.16. So, I think I am going to have to get my thinking cap on to generate some extra cash.

I am still listing one item a day on ebay so I am hoping that will generate some extra cash in the next few weeks, fingers crossed.

I have been recording all the money I am spending on a spreadsheet so at the end of the month I will be able to see were all my hard earned cash is actually going. I have had another no spend day today so that is 2 in this month, which I am happy with up to now.

Must dash as somebody is at the front door.

  • Morning amazing people out there.

Sorry about that yesterday I had some visitors.

So this morning I have paid another £56.27 off CC3 from an ebay sale, quidco payout and some extra money in my bank. That brings my total to pay by end of October to £ 1722.89. It is creeping down but not fast enough. I really need to by doing more to bring this total to 0. I have got a very old gold ring, that is in a draw in the house that nobody really wants or cares for. I am thinking not this weekend but next weekend of going and finding the value of that to sell it. It really would not be missed and would bring that total down again.

I have got five birthdays this month, so yesterday I ventured into my loft shop and have managed to find stuff for four of the people. They are all wrapped with cards written. I have a Debenham's gift card with £20 on it so over the weekend I am going to go and buy something in there for the last present for £20 and they will all be sorted and it would not have cost me anything. This is a saving of about £100 - £120.

What a horrible day it is today, I just wish it would get a little better before the winter really comes in.

I forgot to say I had another NSD yesterday cannot believe that is 3 already this month. I must be serious about this payment before October.

    Have a great day everybody

    Morning Scott-Weiland

Thank you so much for the advice. You will do it, you sound like such a determined and focused person.

I have started training and still doing the gym as well. However, my aim is to do a half marathon next year so it gives me plenty of time to get in shape. I never thought I would say this but I just love running when it is raining.

Keep going and I cannot wait to see how you get on.

    Take care

Haha yeah focused is my middle name, i am nearly ready only other thing i would say is don't skimp on cheap running shoes. A pair of Nike Airs are fine if your doing 4-5 miles when you get upto bigger distances look at a decent pair of asics or inov8s. And get a gait analysis done.

    Hi Abba1772

Thank you so much for dropping by and reading my waffle. I am really pleased with the amount the debt is coming down. I just need to find some additional ways to earn some extra income to speed it up.

I have never sold anything on facebook but may give it a try and see what happens.

Thanks for the help. I do know what you mean with regards to the running shoes. Last year I invested in a really good pair of running shoes and they are worth their weight in gold. I only use them for running and not general training as I really do not want to botch them up.

I have never had a gait analysis done will maybe look into that. You do seem so focused when you challenge yourself I wish I was more like that when it come to exercise.

Take care and keep on running!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Morning nice people,

I cannot believe it is the 10th of the month already were is the time going.

Sales on ebay this weekend have been really really slow and I have only sold one thing. But I am not letting that get me down and I have continued listing one item each day. So my total extra income form ebay / car boot sales this month is £152.33.

I have worked this weekend as overtime on Saturday and Sunday morning, so the cash for that will come in next month. Also I will be going to that conference not this weekend but the weekend after so that will be extra pay next month as well. I feel at the moment I am busy all the time with nothing to show for it, but I need to be patient as next month will be better when all the extra pay has been paid into my bank account.

Last week I only went shopping for a little top up shop and did not do a normal shop as we really only needed fresh stuff, So since the 1st of September I have only spent £46.96 on shopping which is amazing. Today I am going to try and see if I can pop to the supermarket to make up meals for about three / four days. I have made a list of the items I need to make up meals so that I can use what I have in the freezer already.

I also need to put fuel in the car today for the first time this month, I am being so careful when I use the car and try and not make two trips when with some effort one trip will do. It must be paying off as I would have put fuel in the car by now.

Money has been put into all my annual tins this morning. It feels so good doing this as I know next year all the annual bills are going to be taken care off without even giving them a thought.

Also I still have NOT USED A CREDIT CARD. This feels amazing, and I really do think I am now out of the habit of just reaching for it without thinking. The corner has been turned.

I have paid a little more of my September / October challenge and the balance to pay is £1712.89. I just need one more ebay sale to get it into the £1600's.

I was going to try and do another car boot sale again this month but I don't think I am going to be able to as I have that conference one weekend and next weekend they have asked me to go into work to do a stock take on Sunday morning for a few hours. I did not want to turn them down as I think it is looked at as if you do not want to do it this week we will ask other people next time. So I did not want to rock the boat on this one, so said yes to working. But, every extra hour will help towards the debt.

Any way must dash and I hope everybody has a great day.

    Take care
