Happy birthday for yesterday to silver-oldie's mum.

I have just realised that it isn't next week that I finish work but the following week, what a relief as I have all sorts to do and this does mean that I need not work all through the weekend. Still, quite a senior moment.

I've been out for lunch with my manager and my counterpart, who is off sick having managed to break both elbows, one wrist and one finger by falling over. We got a flat tyre on the way to pick her up so choice of venue was a bit limited, basically the pub close to the tyre place but it was good and I had fish.

It is lovely and sunny. My DS is at the gym and when he comes in I'll open my cards and the two presents that ate on the table, unwrapped so I do know what they are. I've also been given a v posh knitting bag and I had a cheque from my mum a few weeks ago.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

Sorry its late but Happy Birthday to AOD,and Silver-oldies Mum :)

Snoozer,That sounds like us,there are all kinds of squabbles going on with various neighbours about access, who's trees are whos. Our back gardens used to be a back streetApparently when the bigger bin wagons came into use years agothey couldnt get down any longer and people gradually fenced them off to make private spaces but had to maintain access for services etc. When we moved here, next door but one had a padlock on his gate which DH cut off to get access for someone working here, and he called the police.Flexing his muscles to the newcomers :) Hope theres no bother,

    Evening all
Happy birthday AOD and SO's mum.
Very late post from me, the WiFi not working properly, the M4 was closed this morning, it took me hours to get anywhere and I had all 4 of the dgc to get to various schools.
    Hugs Hester
    Chin up, Titus out.
