As usual, many thanks to everyone who has helped me with this so far.

I just wanted to follow up as I thought it was all over, however I started receiving letters from Debt Recovery Plus Ltd, who today have sent their final offer (the alleged fine is now £160 by the way).

I haven't contacted my MP since my initial first contact and will just sit tight to see if I receive court proceedings etc.

    Best Regards all

NO IT'S NOT £160, the extra £60 is the DRP fake add-on
    IT'S JUST A SCAM.

You simply ignore DRP who are powerless timewasters

  • Just keeping the thread updated.

Got my first letter from Gladstones 'on behalf of their client DRP, who's agent is UK CPM'

Continuing to ignore until court proceedings are issued

It's DRP pretending to be Gladstones, so file it.

I wouldn't ignore a Letter Before Claim. If you respond robustly enough it might deter a court claim. The Newbies thread has examples in post 2.

NO! Respond robustly using the guide to court written by bargepole that you will find in post 2 of the NEWBIES.

Also, contact your MA/Clarion and ask for the name of the person(s) who will be attending court as a witness when you defend this scam, and tell them that person will need to provide information to the court when asked about dates they will not be able to attend.

Does the letter suggest you pay anyone the charge? If so, who?

Is it actually headed ‘Letter Of/Before Claim’?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • Many thanks for saving me there

It had been so long since reading up on everything, I had brain fade with the next steps.

Now reading up on Post 2, especially the guide written by bargepole

The Letter is actually headed "Letter Before Claim" and now suggests I pay Gladstones directly.

I will email the MA next
