I am not, and have never claimed to be the registered keeper.

Well they've shot themselves in the foot right there ... it was your friend's car therefore they could never have got your details from the DVLA. So what else have they misinterpreted and got wrong? How can their evidence be relied on if they have got a very simple matter of fact wrong?

PS - were you insured to be driving your friend's car to park it?

Not exactly, but I didn't drive it on a public road, I we switched seats in the car park, as she was unconfident doing the bay park

    Should be ok?

Insurance or not, it is of no concern to the alleged parking offence.
    That is a Police matter.

Wouldn't be had you been involved in any accident in the car park!!

Gladstones have finally replied via email with a PDF of the form that should be available via their (broken) website. Not sure whether to reply at all as they've wasted so much time.

The form enables me to say I dispute the debt, but also asks for reasons 'why' I dispute the debt.
I feel like this is unnecessary as I've been telling the reasons to UK-CPM all along?

How much detail should I reveal at this stage? I kinda feel like being brief and asking we go to court asap

If you got all the data you wanted from the SAR already, as you said in post #61, then do you need anything else as part of this pre-action exchange of info? Stuff that wasn't 'data' as such but that you need to see?

Copies of photos of the signs in situ at the material time, for example.

If so, email Gs back to ask for that and any evidence they have to show who the driver was, because you are not insured to use that car and nor are you the registered keeper, and all you did was appeal as a favour to the keeper.

We assume the driver has never been admitted in appeals, etc?

The keeper has never been mentioned, but I remember from the IAS appeal process (which I unknowingly followed before discovering this forum) that I had to state I was the driver in order just to use it.

I don't need any info from them, but I'm unsure at this stage why they need my reasons for disputing the claim when they could get this from their client UK-CPM

Because that's a template letter...! No thought behind it, no checks re your case.

You should reiterate your reasons, IMHO, as it looks better when the Judge reviews the pre-action correspondence, and means Gs can't state in the Witness Statement later, that you ignored their LBC.

If you want another 30 days on top, reply late within their 30 days and say you are 'seeking debt advice' and need the case to be put on hold for 30 days as a result. That then adds two moths to it before a claim form can materialise, then months more before the court wheels slowly turn...

Depends on when your Summer Holiday or other plans are booked for - if you would rather string this out to hope for an Autumn hearing in the end, then do as I've suggested.

If you'd rather they crack on, don't include the sentence about seeking debt advice.

    Many Thanks Coupon-mad

I want it to crack on to be honest, whilst I do want it all over with, I'm also kinda looking forward to embarrassing them in court too

Holiday wise, I have a week in August and a week in September

OK, well, you will get a chance to name the dates you can't attend (add a day either side as well) in the DQ stage when you get the claim.
