Sadly, so are Barnet NHS trust, IMHO. I've tried them and PALS there before, useless. Worth a try though.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Subject Access Request. It's a letter telling an organisation you want to see all the data they hold about you.

There is a fee attached however as of the 25th of May that has been abolished and they have to do it for free.

I urgently need help on an issue that has caused nothing but stress since March. I obtained a parking ticket for underpaying at a Hospiital on 29th March 2018.

I arrived for my appointment at Barnet hospital and parked my car in the bay. There was no signs visible in the section I parked in so my partner went inside the hospital to ask the receptionist. The receptionist advised my partner that we could pay after my appointment. My appointment was late and I was not seen until two hours later. We went to the reception and asked the receptionist how would I go about paying my parking. The receptionist walked us to the machine and stayed whilst I entered my car registration. I entered my registration and the machine requested £2. I paid the ticket and left the hospital.

One week later I then received a parking ticket to say I under paid £1. I was only following instructions from the machine and was perplexed by the ticket, so I appealed it with Parking Eye and POPLA. Both were rejected. Six months later I have now received a claim form for County Court Business Centre.

Any advice? I am definitely willing to defend my case as I think the whole situation is completely un-justified. i requested they checked CCTV but they refused. Their machine is obviously faulty and the receptionist was there who helped me!

What did PALS say and what was in the SAR? There may be the ingredients to a substantial defence in their replies.
  • Indeed, a few months back you were doing a few actions and didnt say what happened.

    1) What is the DATE OF ISSUE on your claim form?
    2) Have you read POST TWO of the NEWBIES thread? This takes you STEP BY STEP through the enture process.
    3) .. of which the first step is you MUST acknowlegdge the claim has been served. NOW. TODAY. ONLINE. Confirm you have done this.

If you have used your real name as your forum username you would be well advised to get it changed to something more anonymous.

To do that, read this short extract from The MSE Forum Guide - Frequently Asked Questions & Rules:
    Q. How can I change my username?

    A.
In most circumstances, this is not permitted.

The only reason we will change your username is if it puts your privacy at risk. This usually means you've inadvertently registered using your name, email address or something that gives away your identity within your username.

If you fall into this category, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com and request that it is changed, giving three alternative usernames in order of preference.
  • I emailed them before about changing my name, I am just waiting for them to do so.
  • The issue date is 3rd September and I received the claim yesterday.
PALS said as POPLA rejected the appeal, it was too late for them to intervene.

I can confirm I have acknowledged the claim online.

Yes I have read the posts. I just need to prepare my defense. I also have images of the car park to show there was no signs where I parked.

    its a C in defence

look at recent defences like the recent BARGEPOLE one, plus another dozen or so, plus the ones in post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread

draft it in word and save it, copy to notepad and save it, then copy and paste it from notepad in your reply below

people can then look at it and comment on it, to hone it
