Agree wuth above.I have made 3 claims on orange insurance for damaged handsets.THe last time they were really awkward about it.The phone had fallen out of my pocket on a staircase and dropped down the well. The orange employee wasn't happy and asked me how deep my pockets were.(honest).
When I said I didn't have a clue she got all stroppy and said she would have to refer the claim to the underwriters.I was told they would call me with a decision within 24 hours. They never phoned back so I left it a week and phoned them. The way the conversation went it was obvious that they were not going to replace the phone so I dug in and complained about the fact that they hadn't called me back when they said they would and as a result I had been inconveinienced. This worked and I got it replaced.
They will use any means at there disposal to get out of honouring a claim so use any means at yours to force them into doing so.0 -

Um...that's why people take out insurance.
And Orange seem happy enough to collect the premiums.
If they are going to try and duck out of a claim for example on the basis of how deep someone's pocket is, then maybe they should make their intentions as to making it as difficult and uncomfortable for their customers to make legitimate claims clear from the outset. Why should anyone have to argue for an hour over an insurance policy? I'd be furious."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -
that's not the end of the story. I was replaced with handsets on 2 occasions which were again faulty and i had to fight with them again cos they were charging me the £15 admin fee each time.0
