M&S? Yes that finished on 5th January. There was a temp HR job but the company thought I was too senior for the role, even though it was only 4 weeks covering a vacancy. I had a call about a 2-3 month contract last week but I'm not counting my chickens at this stage.Say what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.0

This is the week when it's going to happen! I've been offered the job in China, the package isn't what I was hoping for so I think I'm going to decline it. I have an interview tomorrow for a short contract which would start straight away until the end of March, and I have a final interview for a job back in Vietnam on Thursday.
I also have another appointment at the job centre tomorrow, I find it excruciating.
NSD yesterday, I need to go and get dog food later so won't have another one today.Say what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.0 -
Well last week wasn't the week when it all happened. I had 2 interviews but haven't had any feedback from either yet.
I'm pleased that I managed to get to the end of January without adding to my debts, I stayed within my quite strict budget. I've 'paid myself' today so I have money in my account to cover February, which thankfully is without a council tax payment and I've just moved to a new mortgage deal which saves me about £60 a month. I really hope to get some work in February, otherwise I'll have to spend my PPI money on living expenses and I'd really hoped to be able to save at least some of it.
So, still waiting, hoping that my luck changes soonSay what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.0 -
You are doing all the right things. Something will shift soon.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Another day, another rejection. The feedback was 'you could definitely do the job, your personality would be a great fit, there was someone else who's experience was a closer batch for this piece of work'. The only job on the cards now is the one in Vietnam and the longer I spend with my dog the harder it'll be to leave him.
I think I might have to consider a more drastic solution, either letting or selling my house and asking one of my parents if I can go and stay with them while I get on my feet, or trying to move to London where there seem to be more opportunities. That's going to be expensive though, so I don't know.
I'm just at a loss to know what to do, I'm thoroughly fed up.
I'm not spending any money on anything, I'm trying to keep myself moving to grab any endorphins on offer, I'm cutting down my alcohol consumption and taking my antidepressants regularly, I'm trying so hard to remain positive and proactive but it's bloody difficult.Say what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.0 -
