    Hey all
    • Not much to add but I did resist subscribing to one of those beauty boxes, it looked amazing but am resolute in working my way through my existing hoard of products.
    • Annoyingly I sold a pair of limited edition trainers on eBay last weekend and the buyer still hasn't paid  so opened an unpaid item case and offered it as a second chance offer to others, fingers crossed they snap it up.
    • Did a SB survey
    • Took a few bits to the charity shop
    • Now to have a weekend focusing on packing, after 9am parkrun (first time in months hope I don't collapse half way:rotfl:)

Hope you all have a lovely weekend :j

    Hi all - happy Friday!

Had a good day today - finished work at 12.30 so made the most of it and took the twins into town. Then decided that instead of driving to Tesco for my my few bits of shopping I would walk. I'm quite proud of myself as it's about a mile each way and for someone who is a stranger to exercise like me, two miles, pushing a double buggy with two two year olds and 6 bags of shopping on the back is quite a workout! :D:D

Also got my online order from Mr M - was very happy with that as had a few substitutes that were heavily in my favour e.g. I ordered a really cheap end of beef for the slow cooker which should have been £3.50. They sent me best topside instead which was £6.79 but because it was slightly smaller than the one I ordered they only charged me £2.10 - bargain. They also did the same with the lamb I bought - £5.49 of meat for £2.60. They also subbed my 12 pack of value Jaffa cakes at 50p for a box of 36 proper ones which should have been £3.79! Not sure that one is so good for my waistline though! :D In total the online order came to £47 which I'm very happy with for what i got - also spent £20.49 at Tesco so still under weekly food budget of £70 and we have loads of food and the freezer is rammed :D

    In MSE news today:

:A cashed out £12.79 on survey site. Will go in debt jar
:A came in £22.43 under budget last week so more for debt jar
    :A more surveys done
:A kids had ys bread with freebie cheese and ys pancakes for tea
:A walked to school instead of driving - that's a win for frugality and my waistline
:A DH has paid off some money he owed at work so £3 a week more in his wages.
:A DH had £29 extra OT for antisocial hours so that will go to debt jar.

    Think that's it for now.
Total debts £21050! now £10941. 76. Total extra income made in Jan22 £109. 27 Feb 22 £45.25 Total extra income made in 2022 £154.52 Aiming for debt free at 45 - 41 months to go!
  • Morning :) we're back from our hols. Had a great time! Got back at 5 am on Thursday morning - Thursday was a write off as we had been awake for 24 hours by then  working yesterday and today...

haven't caught up on the thread so I hope everyone is ok x

Not much in the way of small things as working till 8 but here's what there is:

    * have made b/l from stores
    * will ask oh to make dinner for when I get in
    * madam going to her first swimming lesson today - too cute!
    * oh taking her to meet up with dd. I think they are going to the park :money:
    * going to go and have a quick shower
    * oh fixed our bath leak last night - this has taken us ages and has been a source of conflict as I knew it was a little job so I didn't want to pay a plumber but our skills in this area were 0! We went to a plumbing shop and there was a plumber who gave us some advice :money:
    * update mileage claim & ot sheet (I get paid .3 extra when I work unsociable hours ;)
    * go for a walk at lunch
    * read book this evening
    * sticking to diet! All my efforts pre holiday were undone by said holiday!
    * have raised an issue with ebay as an item I bought hasn't been received...
    * ask oh to hang out washing

    ok better go and shower!

Hi determined and all who follow :hello: lovely and sunny here today :D today's plans:

Register a card online for loyalty points
Write meal plan and shopping list for next week
Something out of freezer for tea
Check plants in garden and water later if necessary
Smalls at party later, they can stay after at the place which will be lovely as it's normally very expensive to get in to
DH and I both to gym/ free exercise outside
    Card and present from stash
    Quick tidy round
Fed sourdough, will try and make something with bit skimmed off
See if I can finalise mortgage with DH

Think that's about it. Have a good day.

Today we've been busy looking at the bigger things, 0% card etc decisions, but I've also registered to get a water meter, which I've only found out about today by reading this forum and is estimated to save us between £100 - £200 per year depending on usage (this might also count as the early big stuff?) and I'm waiting to talk to my OH about a water butt (£14.99 or £19.99 on the Severn Trent website and there are some other gadgets and freebies on there to look at which might help too

Discovered a favourite plant pot outside my front door had cracked clean into 2 over the winter :(. I've put the plant inside it into an old plastic pot, so the water doesn't drain right out through the cracks, and turned it round so the fact it's in 2 pieces can't really be seen :D

Fancied a glass of wine while sorting through finances so I used up a bit left in a bottle of red which had gone vinegary (gravy wine :rotfl:), and sweetened it up with some lemonade we had in the fridge rather than nip out and buy a bottle - tasted fine and hopefully will settle fine on the stomach!!

We're taking daughter out for lunch tomorrow for bday so I found a money off voucher

    Hi all

Busy couple of days - exam season has started so expect me to be a bit quieter than usual. However, I have been spendy. The shopping came in at £84 this week, and I have had to fuel the car today so that's over £100 in 2 days, and I'm still miles away from payday.

Not much moneysaving to report except for resisting Costly Coffee this morning - everything else has been terrifyingly expensive.

Aargh, I'm really rusty at this - of course, I meant to say I'm off to see if I can find one on Freecycle or if I know anyone who has one they don't want :D

    Morning all :hello:

Lovely and sunny here again today, first load of washing is on and some I did late yesterday is still on the line :T yesterday was spendy, I did the weekly shop, although used a £9 off voucher so that helped some. I also bought a dress each for the smalls fits a few events we are going to later this year. Used a money off code I found on line, went through a cashback site and got free next day delivery as I am a 'member' apparently. I've only ever bought from there once but if it gives me free delivery, I'm not complaining. I also bought some tops for DH and I to run in and a running 'case' so we can carry keys and phone etc... again I managed to find a £10 off discount code and go through cashback. They will all come out of various pots, I'm just not used to spending these days, so it feels like a lot. Other things for today:

Still need to do a home pedicure, not that I've had one elsewhere, I just aren't git round to it :rotfl:
    Meals from stores
Get ready for week ahead/tomorrow with packed lunches
Make something for Tuesday tea as it'll be in laws picking the smalls up
    Vacuum downstairs
    Some weeding in the garden
    Water some plants
Plant a couple more courgettes, first ones haven't germinated :(
Take small to prepaid swimming lessons.

    Have a good day everyone.
  • Morning purps :) jel it's sunny where you are! If it's anything like yesterday it'll brighten up later (hopefully!)

Day off before back tomorrow for 4 days :( want to get a few things done, but also enjoy the day off!

    Things to do:

    * load of washing & hang out
    * get things ready for the week ahead
    * roast pork for dinner - joint bought out of a bumper value pack I got in March & frozen ;)
    * go to the allotment for a couple of hours
    * take madam out to wildlife park using membership cards - cards cost £107 for year but individual entrance would be £51!
    & strim garden
    * spend some time with oh if he's not going to the gym this evening
    * drop a bag at the recycling point

    Ok that'll do!Happy Sunday guys

    Morning all :D

Somehow have already been productive this morning but now am having a mid day (almost) slump
    • Took some bags to recycling
    • Did an early food shop after checking what was already in the cupboards and freezer
    • Healthy breakfast
    • Cardboard and broken appliances dropped off at the tip
    • Relisted unpaid eBay item

For the rest of the day I aim to
    • Go to the gym, then use their showers and dry my hair there too
    • Fill up my water bottle and resist v nice but expensive coffee
    • Washing in and air dry
    • Batch cook for tonight and tomorrows tea
    • Make tomorrows work lunches
    • Pack up any clothes that can go into storage ready for fridays move
    • Update spreadsheets as can do that without having to actually move :D:D

Hope you all have a fab day :T:T:T
