Cheapest Loft insulation?

Looking at upgrading my insulatiojn too as it's woefully inadequate just now. Looks like B&Q have an offer for you to have insulation installed supplied and fitted for £198 (up to 5 bed bungalow and houses).

It strikes me as a pretty good deal and saves on all the itchiness of doing it yourself.

Anyone know anything about Thermilate paint addative? Its supposed to help insulate your walls. I have cavity insulation and loft insulation and double glazing but still my house seems to be cold. I have lpg heating so very expensive.
Any advice welcome.

B&Q's 200mm 5sq m packs are £10 each. Combined with the vouchers or 15% off offers they're doing each weekend this is very cheap. I've just helped a friend top up the insulation in his three bed semi for just £40.

Don't bother with the wrapped anti-itch stuff. The job should take just a couple of hours - wear a mask and gloves and keep wrapped up, and shower once done. The 20% to 30% premium just isn't worth the minor discomfort whilst doing it.

Just to let hyou know that B&Q are selling loft insulation at half price at the moment.

I'm sure that this offer is on quite often throughout the country at different DIY stores but I thought I'd let you know.

It would appear that 1 roll ranges from £5.99-£13

Know doubt, if you have a B&Q OAP thingy you can get it cheaper.

Just got back from B+Q with 30 rolls of insulation.

Its on offer at £1 a roll..!!!!!
