    Yes, no pre freezing of bowl fir the ice cream maker. I figured we'd eat most of it so not much to go in freezer. I believe it gets harder when you do that? I now have the ingredients but not the opportunity as DD's car has had to go to garage so I've a lot of taxiing to do for her. Of course this is the week that grandson has reheatsal miles away every night for his show this weekend! Maybe car will be fixed sooner rather than later. I WANT ICE CREAM - NOW!

  • The recent study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition revealed that "Multitasking, while you eat, means you won't be as satisfied.

    Do you agree?

    I do because the game-players hardly remember what they had eaten and significantly feel hungrier afterward.

    So here's the list for you!

    -> Avoid "Diet" Foods Sweetened With Sugar Alcohols
    -> Drink Coffee (speeds up metabolism)
    -> Intake Mulberries
    -> Ceviche (lean protein source)
    -> Purple Carrots
    -> Figs (fiber- and potassium-rich fruit)
    -> Wild Alaskan Salmon (DHA omega-3 oil found in salmon)
    -> Soft-Shell Crab
    -> Watermelon (nutrients and cancer-fighting antioxidants)
    -> Corn
    -> Garden Peas
    -> Turnips (high vitamin C and phytochemical levels)
    -> Salsa
    -> Catfish
    -> Portabello Mushrooms
    -> Cantaloupe
    -> Thyme
    -> Oregano
    -> Yogurt

    Other than food and eating list, here's some more:

    Make the summer calendar count
    Go for a non-negotiable daily walk
    Drink more water
    Eat outdoors
    Stick with soup
    Junk the juice

    That's all... ! Any of these can be helpful!

    Hello all.
    Unfortunately it is a slight gain for me this week +1lb

    I guess the Chinese and the cinnamon rolls did their job!

    Am off work with the kids this week but have tried to stick to plan, so far so good, so fingers crossed I may be able to recoup next week.

    Went to the Tate yesterday as dd wanted to go for her GCSE, was very interesting, we were going to walk down to Borough market after but my did it rain. Despite our rain coats, I do not think I have ever been quite so wet. The thunder and lightening also dissuaded us from recrossing the millinum bridge as it seemed rather exposed! So home we went. Did walk a fair bit but not as much as planned. Was good though and had egg salad for lunch with fruit.
    Today
    B muesli and yog (hexb)
    L 3 ryvita, some coronation chicken and a boiled egg, orange (9)
    D making dirty fries from pon (hexa) not sure with what yet, maybe fish

    Off to Margate tomorrow, expecting more rain.....

    Hope everyone enjoys their hols x

    Afternoon everyone.

    Congratulations to all losers and well done Dia Pita on SOTW.

    Good to 'see' you MrsR - have a great holiday.
    TopGirl, I wish I'd had a baby that slept like TopBaby! Mine were both horrors - how we went to work when they were small I'll never know!
    DD2 led me astray with pink gin cocktails at Christmas - 1 measure of pink gin, 2 of Prosecco, tonic, ice and raspberries. Tastes like fizzy pop, but very dangerous....
    Abbafan I've also rediscovered clothes shopping since losing weight. My wardrobe is brighter, as well as smaller! I went shopping with a friend at the weekend who talked me into buying a size 12 skirt and t shirt, so a little NSV there.

    Tummy bug now better so normal menus are resumed - thanks all for your well wishes.
    B Bran flakes fresh strawberries yoghurt and honey
    L Bacon and mushroom omelette, baked beans, large orange
    D Burger, sweet potato wedges and salad

    Have a good day, all.

  • Evening all.

    Had a brillant bh weekend - weather was sunny & warm. More importantly I tried to keep on track....didn't drink as much as I normal would & meals we took were generally sw friendly so we'll see how things go.

    Tonight's tea was a stir fry so again relatively sw friendly.

    Currently watching BBC1 - not impressed by the crash diet theory
