  • Not really sure how to answer that one.

OH had been to DS1's house on the Friday to get the 'setting' done. I quizzed him when he got home, he repeatedly reassured me everything was done and all we had to do was the food on the day.

On the Friday night OH moaned he was exhausted, I collected things from auction, came home cooked tea, went and did the full shop, came home and stayed up until the early hours prepping.

Next day...... dye hair (priorities) and then went to DS1.... OH, DS1 and DIL disappeared into the garden to do the tables.... clearly this was not part of the 'setting'.

So I ran around like a headless chicken, making the food, baking a cake and buns, finishing off everything.

OH then could not get the BBQ going, he then disappeared as football was on.

I was about an hour late in finishing the food, so missed the initial greetings... I had looked out of the window and saw about 150 people in the garden. I nearly died.

Anyhow it all went really well. I got totally blathered. We forgot to drink the champagne. I was talking to a neighbour who had been celibate for 7 years.... I sent her a present! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Another neighbour fell into the fire twice!

We couldn't get a taxi so ended up sleeping on the floor, and then cleaning the next day!

I have realised DIL does not have any skills in cooking or cleaning. :(

    Aren't you glad it wasn't 151 :rotfl::rotfl:

But it sounds as if you had a good time

It did get rather riotious later on.....

We managed to get through nearly 120 bottles of wine, 3 bottles of gin, a bottle of vodka, whisky and enough beer and Guiness to sink the titanic ... that is without considering what the guests brought to the party!

I need a weekend of no parties, no preparation, no nothing x

  • I know I shouldn't bite but.......

I'm glad to see my progress is of such interest to you.

And yes you're right I'll still be be here regardless of whether I lose any more weight or not because the plan generally works for me.

    So there.

(Yes I know that was childish)

Maybe then its lack of self control rather than the plan thats holding you back.

    Interesting.
