  • morning everyone.

Firstly thanks Chrisv for the chart & well done Sunflower on SOTW.

Well done to everyone who has lost and cwtchs to everyone else.

Had a brilliant time away over the weekend - didn't really watch what I was eating but didn't drink much (as it was so bl00dy expensive!) but exercised lots - on the Saturday we cycled 25 miles and then on Monday cycled 18 miles so I think any syns consumed have been perfectly justified.

Back on it now with a vengeance though - I even managed to do a shop whilst travelling back - so there was no excuse for eating carp.....though I have to admit I did try and go get a Chinese when I got back only to realise every Chinese in the village was shut lol .....so ended up having cereal and yogurt lol.

I've got choir tonight so dinner will be something light - though in this weather I'm not fancying anything heavy anyway.

Went into Greggs today (not my choice, friend wanted to get a card for fathers day and Clintons is next door). Was really surprised to see how the healthier items are all significantly more expensive than the high calorie items. Pizza was £1.30 a slice, while a ham sandwich on brown bread was £2.60? Surely the manufacturing process for pizza and a sandwich aren't that different cost wise, so why is the healthier option double the price? Sausage Rolls are 90p. No wonder people I work with go and grab 2 Sausage rolls for lunch. It's still cheaper than a sandwich.

Of course, they're not promoting high calorie fast food or instant gratification. Not at all..... No.

    Anyway, just an observation.
