It's probably the first time I've been Greggs in a good 12 months. None of their food is particularly good for you, and even the sandwich I had today was higher in calories than I expected it to be. No big deal. I've had a good week so far and so long as I keep doing my SP days most of the time, I should be good. It's good to occasionally get some calories for..... reasons :D

I think it's a really bad sign of the current times. That Greggs is within walking distance of the local high school. Kids are bad with diets and food choices anyway. I was a stick thin child and I still ate rubbish for the sake of it. McDonald's, Burgers from the cafeteria etc. There were healthy options, and I can honestly say I picked them 0% of the entire time I was at school.
So, kid walks in Greggs on his lunch break, what is he going to buy? The cheaper and instantly gratifying pizza or the 2x cheaper nasty sausage rolls, or the slightly more expensive but significantly healthier sandwich on wholemeal bread. It's like we're setting up an entire generation to fail health wise before they've even begun.

At least when McDonald's do it, you know what the score with them is. There really isn't much a healthy option unless you have a smaller portion. Greggs actually could price it so their healthier options are more competitive. Instead, they do the opposite.

Interim weigh in suggests 3 of my 7 are off already (gone back to weighing Mondays as it's just too confusing in the week when I don't know what day it is half the time :D ) I've synned crisps and the odd kit kat senses bar but had plenty of water and speed.

He does indeed Maman. Reports suggest we're sticking with him so I'd better get half a stone below target before the season starts again for safety's sake...

Today will be on plan, having some of my banked syns on gin tonight :)

B - Mushroom omelette and beans

D - Some.kind of salad. I have turkey, tuna and crabsticks in.

    T - Chilli and rice

Syns - Gin :o and some sour cream.

Hexa - Cheese on my chilli

Hexb - Alpen lights when the gin makes me want chocolate

    Hope you're all well xx

I've got choir tonight so dinner will be something light - though in this weather I'm not fancying anything heavy anyway.

I could have written that yesterday as i had choir last night...your not in West Yorkshire are you?

yesterday was good until choir. i did have 5 wine gums and two small slices of cake approx (1.5in sq) as we had a cake night for Alzheimers.

i am going to weigh today at Boots in town and compare to what the dr weighed me at on Monday. i like weighing at a regular time. i have scales at home but they bounce up and down like a yoyo so i tend to go in to town and pay £1 to use the Boots ones. they do your height, weight and BMI and are consistent. you can add blood pressure for 50p and a couple of other things but i don't tend to bother!

    food plan today:
beans on heb toast for breakfast (2 slices from 400g loaf). had this the past few days and loving it plus it leave me satisfied for ages.
lunch: boiled new potatoes, mini baked omelettes and beans. melon chunks
tea: going to a friends as we're child free tonight so we are going to the cinema with them to see the new Jurassic park film

No I'm in Wales ...but wouldn't that have been funny lol!

I'm going to go swimming tonight even though my shoulder is niggling - will definitely have to make an apt with the doctors as I haven't been swimming now for ages so I know I haven't strained it by doing that.

Food wise will be very sw though I'm not sure what.

    Have a good day everyone.
  • Happy bunny! Not all reversed, but -2lb to report for me. Was chuffed. I was doing the weighing, and I know that I shouldn't but I felt quite smug that I am lighter than some in the group, mind you, I wouldn't have a clue what anyone is today! On the other hand, I can legitimately say to them that I have been there and they can get to where I am. On a mission to finally achieve my 3 1/2 st next week

If you get the opportunity to see Strictly Ballroom, grab it with both hands, it was fantastic. Will Young was hilarious, never viewed him as camp, and I know it was his character, but boy did he get camper as the show went on. Felt as if lasted about 20mins, not the 2hrs odd, it bombed by.
A smile costs little but creates much :)
