I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. :)

Have been well behaved so far this week, however it is only Wednesday (morning!) and this is our takeaway week, fish and chips on Sunday and I can not remove the batter cause that is the best bit! So I shall try and save more syns from the rest of the week.
    Today
    B muesli (hexb) yog, fruit
L jacket pot, b beans 1 light cheese triangle, fruit (1.5 syn)
D savoury rice, chicken breast and veg all free.
    S cereal bar (3.5s)
Might have a kit kat with my cuppa in the evening (5s)
syns 10 have not used hexa?

  • Morning all! Hope this fine weather is helping with the diet :)

After my gain last week, which was expected, hoping to have reversed it this week. Been good, although I did go off plan on Saturday as unexpectedly went out for lunch. Hopefully, not too much of an impact.

Going to see Strictly Ballroom tonight, so have had to work around not being able to eat this evening, so have gone for following:

    Breakfast: Weetabix
    Lunch: Fruit & yoghurt
Late lunch: Chicken & pasta salad. Was going to make a couscous salad (which I really fancied), but thought that the pasta may keep me full for longer. The plan is to eat about 3:30 - 4:00ish, which will mean that it will hopefully keep me going for the evening, although I have got an Alpen bar in the bag in case I need it. Last time I went to theatre, half way through my stomach was rumbling very loudly!

I know the mayonnaise in the pasta salad is synned, but how should I count it properly? I am not a lover of the stuff, but use low fat, so the amount I use barely coats the pasta. I do count it as per the guide, but would appreciate your thoughts.
A smile costs little but creates much :)

Stoke you never did let us know what you had for your meal at the Indian! What did you have in the end?

Just had a menu de jour in a tiny French village in Brittany which was absolutely gorgeous and not too far off plan (apart from dessert, cheese & wine!). It was a 4 course menu plus wine and coffee all for about £11.50 each. Don't think I'm going to need much, if anything, later today!

I ended up having a chicken Madras with no rice (i confess, i don't actually like rice), no bread and a small portion of chips. I decided that weighing up the pros and cons, chips were perhaps a better option than a massive naan bread. Doesn't appear to have affected my weight loss too much but I still felt guilty while I ate it :)
