No they are not, A lot of cameras were ripped out because ot data protection issues and none of the ATM for the bank I work for have a camera for a 60 mile radius.
Tell your bank to sort it out then! The amount of people that can be convicted of tampering with cash machines as a result is invaluable!Working to make our future as secure and comfortable as possible.0 -

Plus doing it once would be accptable. It would be easy enough to believe that you accidentally didn't notice. But if you've done it 3 times in a row, it looks deliberate.
As for cost of prosecution/reclaim the bank probably wouldn't care. Most cases that go to court aren't financially viable but still happen.
Its about correcting the way of wrong dooers and bringing people who think they can get something for nothing to justice.Working to make our future as secure and comfortable as possible.0 -
Unless they can prove a 20 issued they cant without a reasonable doubt prove that you did anything wrong you could just say you prefer 10 pound notes and the only way to get all 10's is to draw out one at a time. Sneaky i know but what help would you get if the tables were turned.0

I wouldn't have to. Every ATM is fitted with a built in camera, that photographs every customer. They know what customer from what address got out how much cash and when. They can trace what cartridge the money came from and what order it was dispensed.
Is it really worth risking a criminal record or a caution for £30?
You must be living in USA, not here in the UK.
Over there when a customer claims that they did NOT make a withdrawal appearing on their statement, the courts believe the customer, unless the bank can produce the photo.
It would be nice if we had that system over here:rolleyes:
