It is very sad, but if it wasn't very sad it would mean that they didn't mean much in your life and that they weren't important to you. So although I will be sad and I do miss her (and you your dad) I would be in a much worse place without having her around for 30 years to mitigate the effect of my father!

Discovered a new way of not spending money in a service station today - don't take any money into the service station. It works for me!

Dear Graham and Maria

I have been in my local today. There was a man in there who chatted to me who seems to like me. He used to come to the pub quiz every month and his team used to win every month. After discussing it with the pub landlord we agreed with the landlord that he should n't have the pub quiz every month because it was costing them too much money and the same team were winning every week.

I quite like him. I don't know who he is (other than the man on that team, but the one without the dog!!!)
What should I do?

So with £1600 to find for travel and money to go each month to solar panels for the next 11 months and a car to service too.......

I have rang the bank and decided to reduce my overpayment for 3 months. So the payment on big mortgage (the £86k one prior to the change in house and bigger amount) will reduce for 3 months from £658 to £431. The £6k one will continue at £90 per month which is double the required amount so I will still be overpaying.

I will free up £230 per month which with a further tax rebait and £200 from not paying council tax for two months should considerably help. I've done a schedule of which bit is being paid when and I think on this pay day (15th) I'll do the flights to Cambodia so that things are set.
