Quiet day today. Working from home, clocking an NSD and making chicken and sweetcorn soup. Very tasty, but looks like something your pet would throw up!

Chop 2 cloves of garlic and 2cm ginger.
    Fry for a minute.
Add 1.2 litres of chicken stock and 1tbsp cornflour mixed with some water
    Cook 5 minutes
Shred chicken (I'm usually using cooked chicken so can do this early on)
Return to pan with a tin of sweetcorn or the equivalent (do remember to take it out of the tin!)
Beat 2 eggs and pour in slowly in a string
Garnish with spring onion (or just chop and fry onion at the start!!)

    Very tasty

Went to see A Start is Born last night with a friend. Was told last week when we went to see Green Book that I chuckled all the way through it but was totally unaware. Think I must really be getting into my films. This time my friend said I made her laugh. Didn't say anything until we got towards the end (the garage scene if you know it). Then she can hear me saying "Oh my God" "F*ck". Not a children's film fortunately!

p.s. Just remembered I washed all my odd socks - this was how exciting my day was!

Another NSD today. Only look like I'm getting four this month but not actually spending much on the days I do spend.

Cycled to the pub and back yesterday which was only 6 miles - seems to have done me in. Going to have a herbally tea thing and retire to bed.

Going to set up for NSDs for March today with slightly looser criteria on spend. Have decided eggs, coffee, milk and bread are essentials for me. I could survive on poached eggs for some time!

Car booked in for service on Thursday. It hasn't had a service for 2 years :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: so please hold your breath for me on Thursday. Will check the oil today because of course that will save the whole situation :D

The chicken and sweetcorn soup sounds delicious and low in ww points - I shall give it a go.

    I loved Green Book too.

The garage have not rang yet.

    This could mean;

    1. The car is sailing through without a care in the world
    2. They've lost my number
    3. They are currently trying to secure a charge on my house because the bill is the same size as Mount Everest

    £201

Pretty good for a car that hasn't been serviced for 2 years and has 94k on the clock!
Didn't need any oil either because I'd left the container of oil from the replacement of the clutch in the boot so they used that.

So we're good for another year :T:T:T:T:T:T

Things have been indefinately better since I stopped buying Fiat Punto's and started buying from the Far East :D

    p.s. I didn't remember to check the oil :o
