I only just installed it.
Also, I've already removed AsusScreensaver and Trend Micro Titanium.

If I could get rid of IE I would, because I never use it.
Windows Defender will give you what protection you need. Personally, I'd disable Windows Defender as well. I'd then use uBlock Origin to block out the majority of nasties. UBO has many filter lists you can choose from and Malware happens to be one of the thing that you can filter. So with a little savvy surfing and browser protection, you will be fine without Defender or AVG.
You should understand that these netbooks can be bogged down by the simplest of tasks. So the less software you have running, the smoother the netbook is going to run.0
