  • Happy Friday !

A very worn out efes reporting !

£2.75 payment sent to capital one to wind the account down to an even number.
No other spends today , debating whether to grab a sunbed tonight or leave it until the morning , and other then that I will be buying a bottle of lemonade and thats the lot. I helped a work mate buying her car , sorting her insurance etc and she very nicely bought me a bottle of Gin.
I will be opening that this evening

Think I am swinging towards the leisure centre gym - it is more but I already spend £7.00 a week going to aqua aerobics so for an extra 5.50 a month i can do any class , use the gym , the pool and the sauna so technically even with a sauna after class it will pay for itself

Dont really want to pay out for it this month but I noticed last night private shower cubicles and that kind of seeled it

I have to be able to wash daily and if I can get fit at the same time all the better

Gonna open a monzo account , I am hoping the pots may be a revelation to me

Hope everyone has a good weekend , tomorrow i am lucky enough to be in box for the wembley semi final , im a mutual fan however looking for ward to a day of hospitality
  • I opened a Monzo account a couple of weeks back and i work for a bank for a living lol my bank is getting ditched i cant sing there praises enough. My card came dead quick a friend referred me and i got a fiver as a result, And you have the option too refer friends when your up and running and you get a fiver for every person you refer,
  • My daughters had an account for a while and loves the pots.
After reading your praises earlier I messaged her as she was enroute to a holiday in Russia and asked her to refer me
she firstly let me know she had arrived safely
I sent back have a great time , I hear its amazing ( meaning St peterburgh where she was travelling too)
She replied " yes its awesome , we are doing the trip from our joint holiday pot"
I was talking about her destination , she was talking about Monzo so I'll go by her testimony and sign up
Pus we both get a free fiver ......every little and all that

Haha if anyone needs a testimony of how good an online bank is you cant beat that. ie a bank worker like me who is gradually ditching the bank he works for and the story with your daughter lol

Welcome to Wednesday albeit a late welcome

Todays update is more of a "what Efes has been up too"
Had a bit of down weekend , had a girls night out Saturday and forced myself out but didn't end up staying for long.
It was nice to see people but the evening was a little bit flat , it may be because I chose to drive and not drink.

Sunday my younger daughter and I enjoyed a day in the hospitality boxes at Wembley for the SEMI cup final. We went as neutrals but adopted Watford as they are closer to our home town and they didn't let us down.
We were thoroughly spoilt , enjoying a three course meals and a constantly refilled wine glass.
We both had a great day and arrived home slightly intoxicated
Aside from ubers to the train station , train fare and a tip for our waiter it was a great value day and we got to see how the posh people do it.
Tickets were courtesy of my work network and even more pleasing was how pleasant to the eye our host was.

Since then , I have again been feeling quite flat , overwhelmed and have wanted to cry for no apparent reason several times ,including a mini meltdown on Saturday.
I've been back to the doctors on the back of this.
I hate feeling like this , and I'm not sure whether its because of my personal situation mainly housing or if I am coming in to the menopause.
The doctor has sent me for blood tests to try and establish if I am going through the change and also referred me for counselling.
The counselling feels like a bit of a failure and part of me would rather medicate but I know from past experience that this just surpresses your emotions and the problems still exist , you just care about them less.

I feel like I am forever complaining and no one likes a moaner .............hopefully If I remind myself that I need to keep positive it will all come good. The hardest part for me is that if I change my living situation I put my mum in an even worse position
Maybe I care too much but its something that I will find very hard to do without feeling incredibly guilty

Everyone really underestimates the menopause. It's like puberty again! So much emotion and mood swings with the added fun of hot flushes on top. I recommend menopace or similar as it really takes it toll on your body as well as your moods and that helped me a lot. I have heard that once you're through the other side its great. I had to have a chemical menopause at 20 that's how I have a useless small insight. So whilst I'm saying its natural and does feel poo so cut yourself some slack, I'm also sending my sympathy as it's not pleasant. As a half way house could you start on HRT? Might balance the problem out a bit? Just something to consider.

Keep going. It cant all be positive. You'll get through xxxx

Thanks Kitten - I'm kind of hoping that what I'm experiencing is the menopause , I had a bout of depression around 7 years ago and it feels very similar.
Whether I'm more equipped to deal with or recognise the signs I don't know but I feel I've come a long way since then and I don't want to be in the same place.
There are lots of little things I cant change and I do miss having a companion by my side , someone in my corner but I would rather be feeling a bit lonely then be in the wrong company

You spent too long in the wrong company but I totally understand what you mean. Taking on the world is much easier as a two and its nice to have someone to share things with. I totally understand. Keep going xx

  • Feeling slightly more upbeat today , although full of congestion again.
Doc assumed an allergy so I'm now on the outlook for what I can use to help this , he didnt perscribe and said it was cheaper for me to buy over the counter some steriod nose spray - Thanks for the money saving tip doc.

Today should be a NSD but I am considering popping to home bargains in my lunch break for some mayflower sauce so that may not happen

Gonna cook the dirty Cajun rice from my new pinch of nom cook book tonight

Struggled lately with not smoking and have now replaced the coils in my vape - I may need to change my flavours to keep on track

The great weather is doing wonders for the flowers so could it be hayfever - me and my clan are bad with it. But it could be the dust at your mums or the dog?
I recommend cetirizine. 30 tablets for £1 in poundland. Oh and the neilmed sinus rinse. It's a bit gross but for a brilliant reason xxx
