If you try new Duracells in it and it still wont power up, i'd say it was faulty and try to get a replacement.Fr. Stack: While you were out, I got the keys to your car. And drove it into a big wall. And if you don't like it, tough. I've had my fun, and that's all that matters.0

Yes the date on the batteries is july 2014 so I was really surprised! It really is frustrating. Thought it was going to save me money on developing photos but by the sounds of it, it is going to cost me an arm and a leg in batteries!! Thanks for your help anyway!:TThat's odd about the duracells, perhaps they were duds but that is unusual. Try some new duracells, i wouldn't advise rechargeables in it as i tried these and they last 5 minutes until the samsung decides they are dead. Yep you need a memory card unless you plan to only take 9 pics at a time transfer them to comp and wipe to start again.Sunday 23rd September 2007 I came to my senses and discovered fresh air!!:j

The very ironic thing is that today, I won it in a Nectar competion, so if it is faulty I cannot take it back! Doh!:oSunday 23rd September 2007 I came to my senses and discovered fresh air!!:j

theyre available many other places cheaply, i personally wouldnt buy memory cards from ebay/unknown suppliers as memory cards are notorious for fakes
eBAY is bad for fake things, agreed but I bought mine on there because I only buy from sellers with over 98% pos feedback and they were an absolute bargain, the memory cards I wanted at the time I bought them would have cost around £50, on ebay I got both for £15:D
I wouldn't bother buying the memory card until after you've sorted the battery situation just in case tho'.Fr. Stack: While you were out, I got the keys to your car. And drove it into a big wall. And if you don't like it, tough. I've had my fun, and that's all that matters.0 -

One shot in the dark- check the springs/contacts aren't bent in any way inside the battery compartment, but If it was me I would only test them with shop bought duracells to be certain, not another make, and if they still didn't work ask for a replacement, prize or no prize, I'm sure the t&c's state the prize must be in working order, lol!Fr.
