Digi camera problems ahhgg!

Options
Just got a new Samsung S730. Put the new batteries in that came with the camera and after a couple of go's of the camera it is saying 'battery low' then turning itself off !! Before that took 9 pics and is saying 'memory full' !! Is it me or is the camera at fault?? ( By the way, tried new batteries and said the same!)

I have a Samsung that eats batteries, very poor although it does take nice pictures.

What memory have you got in it? Is it just an internal memory in which case it is likely to be small, and if you have the camera on the highest settings it may well be full

My samsung hates cheap batteries and will only power up with duracell. If i use rechargeables or a cheap make, both with a full charge, it rejects them saying they are duds. Like the other poster said, Samsungs eat batteries like anything.
If it's saying memory full thats your internal memory seperate from the battery issue, you need to buy a memory card for it.

No all that came with it was normal alkaline batteries (Duracell) Do you think it is worth getting rechargeable batteries then? No memory card>

That's odd about the duracells, perhaps they were duds but that is unusual. Try some new duracells, i wouldn't advise rechargeables in it as i tried these and they last 5 minutes until the samsung decides they are dead. Yep you need a memory card unless you plan to only take 9 pics at a time transfer them to comp and wipe to start again.

I use non-rechargeable ones, although I do have some. I just make sure I carry plenty of spares.

There are loads of places selling cheap memory cards, I think it takes SD, so get yourself a decent sized one and away you go
