oh and regardless of who you choose - take out separate excess insurance before you go (see Martins recommendations) and don't forget to use Quidco or topcashback for both car hire and insurance

Thanks for the heads up. In the end I decided it was probably too good to be true. Indeed, I DID NOT book a car. I did see the long queues which didn't seem to shrink over 40 minutes. Thank you all for your genuine input and to those who educated me.
