New start on the debt free journey to freedom

Added up what I owe on credit cards today and it is a grand total of 11830.20. I had not checked the total since February so I was a bit shocked. With school breaking up in two weeks and new uniforms to get and a trip to florida it won't be getting lower soon. Need to start regrouping and making some plans for September onwards. There's also the small matter that I finish paying my tax credit debt off in august which good news is an extra 50 a month I'll have but bad news august payment is over 90. House needs a good Sort out we are running out of space so the junk needs to go only been here a year but you accumulate a load of junk quickly

I started declutteeng. Sold some things on fleabay with some more to finish this weekend. I.n going to aim to clear half my credit card debt by December next year I think this is doable and a little optimistic at the same time. Need to get a grip of finances and be more disaplined.

Well our dream holiday to florida is over. Had the most amazing time. It has now given me the motivation to get my cards paid off and try to go again before the kids are too old and don't want to go away with us. Will update the amounts I owe when I have time tomorrow.

Don't think they ever grow up enough not to go to Florida! Nor do OH and I. Ha ha. Glad you had a lovely time.

Day 1 of my new start. Today's spends
£49 Dd1 school skirt, jumper, or top have to get from uniform suppliers.
£4.46 for cards for September birthdays.
£10 money to go in birthday card for my mum from the kids Present already brought from me.
£7 large tub washing stain remover
£6.50 pizza for tea and chocolates on offer for presents.
Ordered cardigans for dd2 for school as went in two shops and none had any her size. Still got to get school shoes for both girls like to get from Clarks as the eldest does a lot of walking and they last her upwards of 9 months.

Sorry today was a spend day but on the very bright side payday.
£66 two pairs of shoes for 14 & 9 year old and a pair of pumps
£10.46 booze and snacks in need of booze
£1.01 stamps so could send out boy hers left from holiday that I gave away.

Had £200 left in the bank at the end of August what do I do with it pay it all on credit cards or go half on credit card and half to savings.

Well.with the £200 left from August i put 100 in savings and 100 on cc1.

£3.25 Tesco
£48 hardware shop new door handles for downstairs, unfortunately missed a door out.

Another 2 loads of washing done And dried. Got a pile of ironing to do. Hate ironing yuck.

NSD today. Cooked a Sunday dinner and now chilling. No work tomorrow as kids don't go back to school till Tuesday. Tomorrow ive got ironing dd1 horrible school shirts and some other bits

Feeling pleased with myself all ironing done. Bad news car failed mot something to do with brake lights and hazards, not sure how much this is going to cost. Today's spends
Tesco £3.24 last treats before back to school and work.
Dreading going back to work had three weeks off and relaxed two days at work and I'll be a manic mess again not able to get my head straight.

Both kids back st school today and I was back at work only for half a day.

39.34 aldinu shopping for the week might need a couple if top up items from local shop. Budgeted £75 a week do well.within the limits.
