Yay for overpayment! I will have a nose at the parmigiana recipe! My sister bought me a hello fresh box as a gift once. I love the concept but it's a bit on the expensive side and the amount of packaging required is pretty bad, so I began making things from their online recipes with my own ingredients :o. They released a cookbook last year which I bought and absolutely love. There are lots of veggie recipes in it and I often adapt the meat ones using quorn. Is the Miguel one any good? I think I saw it pop up as an ad and briefly considered it before forgetting I'd seen it :o.

That sounds like a good way of doing things :money: I've never looked into cost etc or compared it, but for the time poor/money not poor(!) It's a brilliant idea - I'd love to have thought of it first :rotfl:
I've only had a quick browse through the Miguel Barclay book so far but it's looking promising! I need to meal plan for this week and next week so shall report back :D

One cash out from prolific on its way  that can go to the mortgage when it arrives!

Working towards a cash out on receipt hog, the end is in sight... It's a (very) slow burn :D

Batch cooking is brilliant, saves so much time and money! My one disadvantage is sitting at work thinking "hmmm not really sure I fancy Ragu tonight...". I have to be strict with myself sometimes :rotfl:

£220 overpayments made in June :j

I'm currently at £18.86 on prolific so hoping there might be a nice survey for me today to bump it up to £20 so I can cash out. I have around £5 in my PayPal from Qmee so that would take it nicely to £245 for June. A much nicer sounding number.
There was nearly an extra £77 available, but in a fit of thinking rationally rather than with my heart, it went into my ISA instead :o
I'm currently in a 'thinking zone' about financial planning generally, rather than sending it all to the mortgage.
Grrr, they should teach this stuff at school. Have I used Pythagorean theorem since I left?? Nooooo. Do I need to plan for a family and a comfortable retirement?? Yes!

Anything 'extra' is going straight to the mortgage though, no doubt about it :money:

Oh, and when this month's mortgage payment has gone out, it will take me nicely into the 214's :) ending up at the mid 214's after interest is applied.

    Current balance at £214,570.

A small overpayment of £35 made today from prolific and Qmee so effectively all free money :T and £22 of interest saved in the long run

Not sure there will be much more in the way of OPs other than the usual £200, as we need to pay the remainder of the cost of our holiday, but it matters not as we're looking forward to the week away  Dorset here we come :T

We have also made a life decision and taken on a cleaner so less of the frugal life than we thought. However, on balance, it will be worth it for the lack of stress over me thinking the house is filthy :o and having the extra time with DS at the weekend instead of having to do loads in the house - especially while the sun is here! It's a work/life balance thing.

It's amazing how much even small overpayments save.

Completely understand the cleaner. I would love that but would like to get the mortgage down a bit first just in case interest rates rise so we're not so vulnerable. I'll have to check out Qmee.

Do you have a Qmee referral? I'm happy to use it if you do? :)
