in 6 years of coming here and having read tens of thousands of threads on here and on pepipoo forums, I could probably count on one hand the number of landowners who have been in your position, and I took the time to track down a couple of those elusive threads and post them

I would guess that NOBODY who has replied to you so far has had this experience, although you can certainly post a poll if you wish to do so, as happens a lot on other forums (but I would suggest you will get few replies saying they have had similar issues as an MA or as landowner)

you will find very , very few on parking pranksters blogs either, the majority of what we see on forums and in the papers and on tv are those pub owners and landowners etc who have employed a PPC and rued the day, kicked them out and have to deal with the consequences

so those are when we normally see the other side of these parking issues

rogue parkers are a menace be it on private roads or on public roads , you should see the havoc daily near the shool opposite my brothers house ,despite council signs , barriers , double yellow lines and red line zones etc

the PCSO`s and wardens etc went there recently and it caused gridlock in the whole area spilling back out onto the main throughfare nearby

his sidestreet has been one way for over twenty years with adequate signs , road narrowing etc and he still gets maybe a dozen cars daily coming the wrong way down it (dangerous or what ?)

they would have to have a 24 hour police presence outside the corner of his end terrace to stop all the violations that occur daily (not just when school is opening and closing , that is just the busy times (but not the only times as he has a 24 hour retail park nearby)

so councils and police also face issues with dangerous and rogue parking , despite TRO,s etc in place

just saying how it is, for clarity

if you care to stick around and post on numerous thread on here daily , 24/7/365 you will gain a better appreciation for what the volunteers here do , as did LOC123 when she came for help despite having legal training, she is much better informed having learned and participated, as did mistercesq too, and as have we all

good luck, and I hope that idiot stays away from the bins from now on, for everyones sake

    Thanks.

    Appreciated.

To be honest, if I was a landlord, freeholder, whatever I wouldn't post on this forum (or parking prankster). It's clearly set up with a certain view in mind (which is absolutely fine) and it's not somewhere that I'd really expect to get the help I was looking for.

I'll lurk again but doubt I'll post much. I tend to contribute from my own experience or knowledge and, as you say, there have been very few relevant threads to my situation.

    That's food for thought.

Is there not a 'Managing Agents Association' or something like that?

Maybe some have had to manage somewhat similar situations as yours. How did they do that?
Maybe other MAs can relate their experiences with private parking companies?

    Probably

But we aren't a Managing Agent. We are the unpaid directors of a Management Company that owns the freehold of the estate. We employ a MA but are in the process of changing of them. Not good - I can tell you that, in my experience MAs push you towards PPCs. But we are all pretty experienced and make sure we make our own decisions.

I guess there may be a Freeholders Association but we haven't really had cause to look. The demon parker left before we had to make a final decision on the parking company.
