Redex help

Just tried to put some Redex in my diesel Focus tonight and couldn't get it in because of the Ford easy fuel system. A quick google says to use a special funnel that's available.
I did wonder what the funnel thing that I found in the spare wheel well was when I bought the car. You'll also need this funnel if you ever refuel the car from a fuel can.

Sounds like a capless filler as I have one.
http://bestride.com/news/if-your-vehicle-has-capless-refuelling-be-sure-you-know-where-this-special-tool-is-located-and-how-its-used
Or refer to your vehicle manual.0 -

First time I put petrol in, the nozzle was stuck!0 -
In fact you'd notice more power in a diesel if you used 100% vegetable oil due to its higher calorific value over pump diesel but you would actually see a decrease in MPG of around 10%.
What figures are you using?
https://ec.europa.eu/energy/intelligent/projects/sites/iee-projects/files/projects/document/biomotion_biodiesel_and_plant_oil_leaflet_en.pdf
gives volumetric calorific values of 35.2 MJ/l for diesel fuel and 34.4 MJ/l for pure rapeseed oil, so the rapeseed will give less mpg at the same engine power, as it would need to burn more by volume.
Biodiesel is 32.7 MJ/l so it would be 10% down on mpg compared to diesel.
Or is UK diesel so adulterated with "additives" (like water) that it can't get near these figures?I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)

The anti-syphon device prevented a colleague's car being dipped by HM Revenue & Customs once. Lucky for him since it was filled with JET A-10

Had a work colleague who used to put a certain percentage of Jet A1 in to his new Citroen with the high pressure fuel system back in the late eighties, cost him a new high pressure fuel pump as Kero has less lubricating qualities than Diesel. Another colleague ran his Company Vauxhall on Avgas 100LL, only because he couldn't be bothered to stop for fuel, until he burned the valves out. This was before low lead engines were introduced.0 -
Its easy enough, just use something (screwdriver/key) to slide open the flap, then pass a hose down into the filler neck, and pour the redex into a funnel inserted in the open end of the hose. Done it loads of times on my mondeo.0

Used the she-wee for the first time yesterday after having the car for 4.5 years, orange light came on and the car was being traded today so put in a bit from my lawn mower can. For reference make sure you push it in all the way or you get wet feet0
