If you have read the newbies FAQ thread then you will have seen the advice never to reveal who was driving

You need to follow that advice and edit your post to remove details of who was driving

The ppcs monitor this forum and can use your posts against you

You should also know you haven't been fined! And you don't ignore it.

There is a lot to take in but don't try and get it first time.

How to deal with this initially is covered in #1.

Send the template that is in blue. Put your own details in it. You will get a rejection. Spend the time between sending the template and getting the rejection reading the Newbies thread.

All you have to do at this stage is cut and paste then add your own details.

    Hi all,

    Thanks.

Edit: I received this charge via the post.

You may as well have deleted it! What you have left is irrelevant

    Edit was the advice.

Without the background no-one can know what areas you may subsequently want helping with

Deleting this text as it was unfair of me.

Sorry you take it that way.

If you feel like this about people trying to help you then steel yourself for real aggression when debt collectors start sending you their truly unpleasant letters.

It won't be £60. I'm guessing that is the discount price? The early payment discount is always a con. They will process your payment late then blame you.

If you think about paying then it will be at least £100.

All you have to do, at this stage, is cut and paste. Do you know how to cut and paste? If not I can give instructions.
  • I know how to cut and paste but it took me until now to work out where to do it. On the website there is a link to pay the fine online after entering the charge number, surely if I do it this way they cannot process it late as it will be instantaneous?

No chance, you are falling for a scam. Don't be a victim.

NO-ONE here pays a penny to the likes of UKCPS.

Why was there a charge, was an occupant of the car disabled or not? If not, was the disabled bay not clearly marked?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Pay if you want but many, many posters on here have found they come looking for more money.

It's your call but sadly if you pay and it gets messed up the it is little anybody here can do.
  • I dont know how to reply without potentially admitting liability? Perhaps one of the two who read the thread before the edit can help me.
