    Hi Mr_Spangle_Pants,

Can you tell me where abouts you are from? .... sorry, this may be in the thread somewhere but I have only caught the tailend of this.

    Regards

I'm sure that the other pro's on here will have their say on Personal infomation, but be careful on giving out details as to where you live.

    Cheers Steve.
  • Hi Mr_Spangle_Pants,
have you considered selling to someone on the covuncil housing list? In many if not all areas if you do this the council will re-house you - you don't get a choice about where they put you but you will have security of tenure and only a small amount below market value I think. I'm sure it is better than the buy and rent it back brigade.
Very very best of luck - I really hope you find a solution which works for you

To be honest I would sell up on my own back you can dual market with a couple of agents that gets them working quicker they love beating competition. Reason I say this is your are interest only do you have a big lump sum coming in a few years to pay your mortgage off?

If you cannot use your workshop to make money then in all honesty as far as you are concerned its worthless. Sell up, choose somewhere to rent or buy smaller or even change of location to get better value for money and put a smile back on both your faces.

There is no quick fix, but you can while the house is on the market speak to your loan company and ask to pay interest only while the house is on the market you can prove it with the sales brochures this is what my MIL did.

If you were that worried you would go out and find a job ANY job in order to keep your home. I don't see it worth continuing the business if you aren't making enough to draw a wage from it, why should your wife suffer because of it? Selling to one of these sharks that prey on the vulnerable is not the answer, you'll be homeless after 6 months. Wake up and smell the coffee, if it sounds too good to be true it generally is!

I don't remember seeing an answer to whether or not you had PPI in place. Tonight at 8pm is covering this issue, I assume that Martin is the lead presenter. But watch it and see whether this can be of help to you. If it is applicable it will at least be one step forward, and give you some breathing space.

Hang on a sec, folks. The advice has been given, in detail. Thats all we can do. Its up to Mr SP now, and if I was him, I'd feel some of this thread was getting a bit hot.

I agree Karmacat, it is definately a popular thread. I can understand Mr SP's reluctance to take some of the advice given, hope he realises that we all do care about him and Mrs SP and makes the right choices.

Mr SP, people have been in worse situations than you find yourself and come through this without giving up and giving in to these types of schemes.

Take on board the comments, do as you see fit and let us know how you get on.

Sometimes, as I know from personal experience, it takes time for the reality of a situation to sink in, and to accept that what may look like 'criticism' is, in fact, good advice.
I also know that it is not always that easy to 'go out and find a job'.

I hope that Mr S_P is reflecting on the good advice, posted on this thread, and that he will be taking professional advice as well.
I think we need to give him time to come to grips with his situation, and to be available for help, and support, if and when he needs it.

If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
