Okay, so you agree that x + y = z...
In your example, x = £1000 and y = £500, so z = £1500.
So why would you assume VAT was included?
x = £340, y = VAT (£68)... so z = £408.
I'm sorry but I really don't understand how you could think a price that was stated as PLUS VAT includes it - that just doesn't make sense to me.0
