Second week off sick mate. Rang every day last week, ie sick from Monday.

Saw doc this Monday, sent in sick note and rang the manager before my start time ie 7am on monday, then rang it again in the morning when I got my sick notes and emailed that, posted a hard copy and emailed HR with my sick note. Notes for 4 weeks and I will update the manager the day before the note ends.

    Thanks

But in previous posts not that long ago you were off sick ??

True, I've changed my mind and play the crature at her game, so what?

Is it an offence that I've changed my mind, mate?

Not an offence (unless your boss/company is reading this) but I'm !!!!!!ed if I'm wasting any more of my time with your stories

"unable to speak," so did you tap on the phone or texted?

Btw, to help you out, whne on oxygen, one is not allowed to use eletroics.

I think that's rather broad, my FIL is on oxygen therapy with oxygen at home and can use his phone fine.

Pretty sure my contract states to phone in every day.

For longer absences it is more down to the managers discretion but you are expected to keep them and HR/Occy health up to date.

I'm genuinely surprised they haven't sacked you yet. I'd strongly recommend you use the next 4 weeks to find another job as it's extremely likely you're on borrowed time there. Hopefully you won't need a reference either.

Saying 'rather broad' is very charitable of you, its just flat out not true.

:rotfl: thanks, I did ponder over how to word it :rotfl: as it was such a ridiculous statement I thought there must be a scenario where this is true.... :rotfl:

When I was working it was normal to be expected to call in each day if self-certifying i.e. just a few days off sick. I wouldn't expect to have to call every day if I had provided a medical certificate, but it's down to company policy.
