IamEmanresu if telling you to check the signs & take a few photos, in case the contravention isn't listed on the sign (which would hand you a lifeline for a defence even though you didn't actually write anything that helps you).
Clutch at those straws, you will need them now after throwing away your chance to defend properly.
What exactly did you put in the defence box (we need to know...).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

That's good, but how about answering some questions?I am doing some reading up
Like these:What did you write in box 3 of the N9B form? You have, absolutely, filed a defence
So we need to know what this is.What exactly did you put in the defence box (we need to know...).And did you take a pic of the wording on the signs and their location in the car park.0 -
Right here goes. This was what I wrote in section 3 N9B.
After doing some reading up I realise how awful it is....
please be gentle!
'I am offering to settle the initial fine of £60 plus court and legal charges. I have tried my best to put this case across to this company who I still believe have treated me unfairly but all arguments were brushed aside. I will stand by my stance that there was no contravention but have suffered with the stress of constant letters and threatening demands of payment over the last 12 months now and can not cope with it anymore.
The company themselves were not following their own procedures in allowing me to contest the charge. I sent off their formal request slip to recieve a paper copy of the defense form as was stated in their letters but this never materialised. I sent it via recorded delivery and still have the proof. I tried to use their online system to make a defense and that was not functional.
They had no phone line except an automated payment line and no email and no address.
The claim they have made is parking in a child bay without a child in the Lidl Car Park. Unfortunately Lidl do not keep CCTV footage for more than 4 weeks so by the time I had requested it they were unable to help.
I repeatedly asked the claimant for their video footage but all they ever showed were stills. As far as I am concerned the stills do not prove there was no child entering or returning to the car. It was midweek midday and this enormous car park was empty as always. There is no reason why the car would need to be parked in a child bay.
I really can not afford to pay the total sum which has been claimed. I have no job and no savings and we are living hand to mouth. With 4 children it is difficult. I believe my offer is fair.''
end
I know it is not very good... I actually wrote a few more lines explaining my employment status and my debts in more detail....
Where do i stand and what can i do???0 -
How about answering question posed by KeithP in post #16:what can i do???
If you didn't, suggest you go back to the car park and take a photo of the signage, especially where the signs vary from each other in content and/or size. And did you take a pic of the wording on the signs and their location in the car park. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I am trying to put a link to photobucket on here for the pic but it wont allow me, Is there any other way to upload the pic0

OK so you have the beginngin of a defence there, as you cover issues such as them needing to prove their claim.
You will need to ensure you read the newbies thread, post 2, thoroughly. YES there is a lot, but sorry - there are absolutely no short cuts in this. THis isa formal legal process you HAVE to deal with.0 -
BReak the link by changing HTTP to HXXP
We will then make it a real link for you.0
