    Or they might not.

If not then the woman will have to find someone to have kids with who has the finances to support a family.

    jeez its not that difficult!

Millennials didn’t invent fizzy pop. Or mobiles or the use of plastic cups. The use of them by us is a learnt behaviour of the generations before us.

And if we want to get really deep, the reason people give their children sugary drinks and snacks is pathological, sugar makes us happy, seeing children happy makes parents happy. Unfortunately we can be stupid on mass and despite knowing the dangers of a product such as sugar, without immediate negative consequence we tend to ignore it for the instant high we recieve. Thats before we factor in subliminal advertising, social peer pressure or pure ignorance, That’s not a generational problem that’s human nature.

Cakeguts I completely agree with the entitled notion.

Let me start by saying I have worked since I was 12 (paper round) never not worked and my mom ensured I always had a job, I didn’t she’d make me work in the warehouse of her company so I made sure I always worked! But I am an only child of a wealthy person and I will admit I have always had the bank of mom and dad to support me and I don’t for a second think I have it bad compared to some. But for the most part I’ve always paid my own way.

But to hear how some of my 9 year olds friends talk sickens me, for example one refused to clean his room because “that’s what we have a cleaner for!, she can do it!” No joke. Or stand there on their iPhone 8s or iPads. God help them all as adults. Infact I’m considered the ‘mean’ mom at school because I expect my son to carry his own bags and stand for 0 back chat. And my son has a hand me down phone iPhone, someone call childlike!!:rotfl:

But seeing as how none of us can change they way young people think or behave what does this notion hold for the future of house buying??

The child with the cleaner will be on here in about 15 years time bleating about the fact that he can't afford to buy a house in some very expensive area because of the price of rents and cleaners.

Where I live intelligent parents don't give their children iphones because it makes them targets. They get cheap pay as you go phones for emergency calls. After all there isn't anything that a 9 year old needs an iphone for.

These are the rules on iphones for a very good state school near me. http://mcsbrent.co.uk/mobile-phones-confiscations/

I've worked in London with people who commuted daily from Leamington, Swindon, Lincolnshire...

Low paid people like carers, cleaners, shop workers?

Why do we need the answer to everything? Life will be as it will be.

Yes but I am talking about roads and roads of terraced houses that are now first time buyers homes and are full of parked cars you can see them on google maps parked nose to tail all down the streets and this in an area with very good public transport. They can't all be care workers working unsocial hours. The entitled generation will buy a car before they buy anything else. Cars are expensive to run especially if you are trying to save up for a house or move to a bigger house.

It very much seems like you have made your mind up and have a fixed opinion on people younger than yourself, so I'll leave it there as its rather pointless continuing.

Also that link isn!!!8217;t specific to iphones. It also wouldn!!!8217;t hold up. Legally I mean.

The item belongs to me as the bill payer so they wouldn!!!8217;t be able to with hold it for months. Glad my children don!!!8217;t go that school.

But this is all off topic and i think I have to agree with red squirrel, you have a very unwavering opinion of the younger generation. Guess we will have to agree to disagree.

The learned from previous generation isn't true. A business is not going to produce a product that it can't sell so unless lots of people buy sugary drinks now they won't be produced. My generation didn't get them because they were too expensive. Sugary drinks are one of the products that have got cheaper over the years so it isn't something that has been learned. Even if they had the products available now in the last generation which they didn't. It is now that children are getting rotten teeth taken out at age 5. This wasn't happening when I was young and fewer people had access to dental care then. These types of drinks used to be drunk at birthday parties etc not everyday only on special occasions. If drinking them had been learned from the previous generation they would still only be drunk on special occasions not all the time.
