The Money Marketing April 2018 piece itself isn't wrong but the poster originally quoting it just plucked the wrong figures from it!

I know, I read it originally. I was simply stating the date of publication. That's all.

I was actually amplifying rather than contradicting, but perhaps worth observing that the respective publication dates are irrelevant here anyway, in that both articles were correct (that the number of LISAs exceeded 60,000) and the later one isn't any more correct by virtue of being published more recently!

The issue at hand was just that a poster (probably inadvertently) misrepresented the content of one of them, so it seemed worthwhile to share the pertinent data directly on here to clarify in a readily-accessible form that's less likely to be misunderstood....
