I'm new'ish' here, so apologies if this is in the wrong place. BUT, don't you think it would be wise to check out a 'deal' in the MSE Email before mailing it to thousands of people? The Amazon Assistant deal of £5 off £25 is impossible to get. First you install the assistant, I used Firefox, then apparently you open it up and click on the card to get the £5. Trouble is it automatically lands on the US version and it's impossible to change countries. Once you click it just goes into a never ending loop of trying to change to the UK and never comes out of it. I tried disabling and then re-enabling it. Closing and re-starting Firefox. Disabling and removing it...... then reinstalling it, and after everyone of these steps it was still spinning around and doing nothing and getting nowhwere. I eventually read the reviews and it seems I am not alone, loads of people were complaining that the second they tried to change country it failed...... so perhaps in future you could check out the deals before advertising them!

In case anyone else is having the same issues. I tried instead to install on Google Chrome and it not only logged me straight into the UK version, but gave me the £5 promotion. So it would appear that it's just Firefox that is having an issue with this app.

It might as well take me to the Amazon jungle for all this offer is worth - I did everything as instructed to get the £5 - and yet can see no sign whatsoever of any discount option in my shopping cart with a total of £25.09 and items all dispatched by Amazon.

Agreed. I did the same - installed as instructed by Amazon. Switched to the UK version, and then clicked the right button to accept my £5 discount - and nothing.... :-(

Good news is that I emailed Amazon to complain and got a £5 credit added to my account within half an hour.

Me too.
Will try e-mailing.
I'm definitely going to uninstall it anyway; it tells me about "special offers" then if I go to the page they've expired and are full price!
