Full on Day yesterday but a good result. DSs room is now back to sparkling from grimy - i vacuumed up a veritable carpet of fur from his room! (Im hoping he will get his full deposit back next week). My marvelous Tardis Citroen C1 squeezed all of his belongings in (though this was the second trip). Its a good job he wasnt coming back with me otherwise I would have had to strap him to the roof!
Unfortunately I didnt manage to get to my friends to drop off her birthday pressie (nor did I get a chance to buy it so am going to have to work out how to do that). I did have a few spends yesterday. A little top up on fresh fruit and veg - berries on offer, and picked up a few bits for DS. Also I have to confess to ordering a couple of bits from Amazon which I probably dont need and dont ordinarily buy.As Im going to a family funeral on Wednesday I have a black dress and open toe shoes to wear but given that the weather is going to be warm I dont want to wear tights so I purchased some spray tan and a mitt (also going to a wedding next month so can use it for that). This is not normally my kind of thing but I havent been able to get out in the sun this year so I am even more pasty than normal! Anyway thats 12.99 spent that I could have done without.
My daily analysis is from yesterday and the day before but as Im not sure when I can post next I thought Id do it now.

went to Mr S for our weekend shop yesterday and noted they had Vegan Falafel pizza (Frozen £2.50), but your fall-apart falafel sound ideal for a HM Pizze topping at half that price
what a great idea:T Thanks M88MGoal:to save £16,000 by 30/09/2019 claw back rental costs

I do love going home to see my mum
DD safely deposited at workplace, DM at work and I have the place to myself without having any chores to do :j I did mean to bring my menu folder up with me so I could properly plan out and add to my menus but it is the one thing I forgot, which is a bit of a pain given I have a full free day to look at it but I shall take a look on line and see what inspiration there is.
I feel the money starting to trickle through my fingers already. DD forgot her toothbrush and toothpaste and the only place that I could get some yesterday was a rather expensive garage that only sold packs of 3 so that was £5.08 of unnecessary spendsIve arranged to take my DM and DSIL out tomorrow as she doesnt get out much having been recently diagnosed with epilepsy so she can no longer drive. She doesnt have a great deal of money as she had to give up work so I shall happily treat her and DM to a cuppa and a slice of cake (need to make sure we eat it instead of lunch!)

Coming to the end of 4 days at DMs. It's been lovely but a bit spendy.
I took DSIL to Leamington Spa on Tuesday which is a beautiful spa town with rather lovely shops and I'm afraid I did succumb which is most unlike me.However it was a charity shop purchase of a rather delightful high end dress which I shall wear open over a vest top and jeans and cost £12.95) - expensive for a charity shop but it was a good brand. Not sure why I bought it as I haven't bought anything for nearly two years - I think it was peer pressure as I felt the need to be part of the shopping experience wit DSIL, but I will wear it and can always donate it back if I dont, Im not going to beat myself up about it.
We did also go for a rather delicious lunch at a lovely little veggie cafe that was highly into the environment. It came up as one of the best places to go on my google search so I prepared myself to spend a little more as I was treating DSIL as an early birthday lunch. £18 for lunch and cake, yes CAKE and it was gorgeous - beautiful moist nutty carrot cake, my absolute favourite - nom nom nom! So all in all rather a hefty spend.
I lucked out yesterday as DS1 offered to drive DM DS2 and me down to the funeral. 3 sisters and DM non-stop chatting, it was lovely as we dont get to spend that much time together but by the end of the 6 hours in the car together I was glad to have a little reprieve when we got back. I gave DS1 £10 towards the petrol.
Filled up on petrol this morning. £40 now that the petrol prices have gone up, I think Ive only got £6 to last me for the rest of the month with the journey back home and 2 trips to Brighton left to complete.
Off to enjoy my last day away from home

Arrived back home yesterday evening, made a quick tea, unpacked and fell into bed a tad exhausted. I need to a quick couple of washes this morning before packing up again and heading off to Brighton. Weather forecast is not looking good this weekend which is a shame as I was hoping to get some nice long walks in. DH is not feeling great at the moment so I shall look after him and clean up the Brighton flat instead.
I can't believe we're half way through the month already, that's shot by. Saying that my money pots are looking a lot more than 50% depleted , there's barely anything left in most of them (I think I've got around £140 left for the rest of the month) and I had to borrow from my miscellaneous pot to pay for lunch with SIL the other day as there was nothing left in my pot. Good job I have my Brighton pot ring fenced. I'm hoping my saving grace this month will be a double child benefit month, half o f which will have to go towards my 3 weekend June Brighton pot so I should have £40 to add to my available spend. DS is coming home at the weekend so I'm going to need to work out some very cheap meals for him as I've only £100 left in my food pot. No spends since I posted yesterday so no scores on the doors from me.
Anyway I shall not dwell on this, the sun is shining, I have washing to do and I'm off to Brighton this afternoon :j

A really quick post whilst I have 2 minutes to sit down. As I mentioned earlier I am crazy busy in June so I may not be able to post on a daily basis. I'm not on my laptop so I can't do my scores on the doors again bit ill try and get to that at some point, once I've had a chance to input the data. Spend has been mainly Brighton spend, though I did purchase a bullet journal and a couple of pens which I don't have the budget for
but have been wanting to try it for such a long time that I picked one up as I happened to see the one I wanted.
Lots of lovely walking around Brighton this weekend and some rather tasty food. I'm so glad I ring fence the Brighton pot as it means even if things are tight in every other area I still get the pleasure of spending the budget without that guilty feeling. It really gives me something to look forward to. I think it's so important to have a little bit of money to use for selfish reasons without feeling it should be allocated to something else. I suspect it helps me to feel less dejected and down by everyday finances.
Loving my bullet journaling
