  • Those avocados were only 50p each. Well worth every morsel of nourishment!

and only 25p a day as i make guacamole out of it with tomatoes, spring onion, coriander and garlic (sooo tasty) so only need to use half - totally nutritious.

    £50.00 £50.00 bdays pot

    £100.00 £100.00 contingency pot

    Total Spent/ Allocated
    actual budget
    £3,536.73 £3,510.00

Below is the actual spend from my annual pots as opposed to above which is the amount i allocate into them

    spend balance category
    £0.00 £30.00 car pot
    £0.00 £42.00 house pot
    £57.00 -£7.00 bdays pot

    £22.64 £251.76 xmas pot
    £0.00 £700.00 contingency pot

    Noteworthy Points
    • I underspent on my cash spends by £57
    • overspent on house by £86.66 due to miscalculating the last BNPL payment as last month instead of this month
    • Total Budget Overspend £26.73
    • I havent included stockpot as it was funded by an income this month
    • The overspend wipes out my OP pot so I wont be adding that to my savings
    • Given that I have wiped over £250 from my monthly budget I'll take £26 overspend for this month as ok

I dont have final figures to put into my Saving £16,000 Pot (I need to change the name of that) as Im working today and depending on how many hours I do will impact my calculation.

  • Quick post (should be in bed by now)

£847.33 additional income for my rent pot :)

£2,954.33 total additional income for rent pot since April.

On the negatives DDs BF brought me over some (plural, several, more than one, a couple) of his easter eggs that he didnt want, (do not compute:o)' lets just say they didnt make it to the suitcase locked in the boot of my car. Not looking forwards to tomorrows weigh in
On the positive I started back with my yoga the last couple of morning (sadly does not equate to burning off said easter eggs)

    £150.00 kids allowance

    dds
    £2,360 house dd

    cash pots
    £20.00 me
    £225.00 food

    £80.00 brighton pot
    £25.00 replacement pot
    £100.00 contingency pot

    £3,600.00 TOTAL

I have increased my budget by £100 take into account a couple of savings pot I have not included before.
18th Pot is for DD bday which is in Jan next year and i want to make sure I have enough in there for something special.
Replacement Pot ideally would be around £100 but as I haven't the funds at the moment £25 will have to do this month until I can shuffle any extra income around. This is to replace any lower cost item (ie glasses, vacuum cleaner etc rather than car)
Contingency Pot I started last month and was able to shuffle some money from my bday pot which still had the money is despite having purchased presents as well as my car pot. From this month I shall be adding £100 into it for any irregular spends such as events, hotels, major repairs, loss of income etc.Ive not yet decided how much I want to put in there but I suspect it will need to be in a couple of thousand, possibly £3-£5k (£800 in there to date).

I have a massively busy month ahead of me both at work and home. On top of that this month is also going to be very expensive.
    • 3 x Brighton weekends -additonal £40 and petrol
    • DS coming home for summer- addtional food, electricity, petrol (everything)
    • Lots of traveling - petrol
    • funeral - have no appropriate shoes (going to scour the 2nd hand shops)
    • Opticians - new glasses
    • Week off work due to family stuff - reduced income
    • moisturiser - used my bday money last time as I tried Origins
    • Mattress for DS as he has said he will sleep in the lounge so I can stay in his bedroom (he can then use the mattress at when he goes back in Sept)
    • Im sure theres more

Im in two minds whether to amend my budget to reflect this or whether to wait and see how things go and do some money shuffles if needed. I will see how things go.

    Yay Brighton weekend :j

  • Another gorgeous weekend in Brighton.

Walks along the seafront, vegan festivals, picnics on the beach and a country drive through the Downs to Horsham for a visit to the bi-annual french market & Pizza Express courtesy of Tesco vouchers.

Love Love Love my Brighton weekends.

Spends unknown at the moment, still enjoying my weekend :)

  • Goodness - I've been so busy since the beginning of June I haven't had a chance to update my spreadsheet. I have all my receipts so tomorrow I shall make it my first task of the day. It's a slippery slope if you leave it too long as it becomes a bit of a mountain to climb back up.

I also have to write out my shopping list, do some menu planning for the next few weeks and a bit of batch cooking. I am committed to making DD some snacks and she's nearly run out of the last lot I bought and I also need to batch cook my dinners. I must add my list of costly outgoing for the month so I can keep track of what I need to buy.

My first expense will be coming out tomorrow as I had my opticians appointment and my prescription has changed for my reading glasses. Unfortunately I can't use the off the shelf glasses as I have a stigma in my left eye. I'm going for their cheapest option though - £50. I refuse to spend any more than that on reading glasses.

125lbs - 0lbs lost :o Quite impressed I didn't gain any given the amount of food I shovelled down my gob at the weekend

Yoga session completed again this morning. I'm glad I've found my yoga mojo again, I hate feeling sluggish.

    Full report tomorrow
