YAY, I've cost Santander £550!! woohoo...
seriously... get a grip... the more people like you that have the must stupid farcical reactions to the slightest thing literally spoil it for the rest of us...
Im thankful that im not a Santander customer, or a John Lewis customer... Im just concerned over what you have planned for Tesco Bank incase it has a detrimental effect on my account when you try and take them to the cleaners because you seem to think they've sold your email address to a 3rd party marketing company... (how you found that out i'll never know!)
Why don't you move to the USA so you can sue everyone you look at?0 -
I've just had a text message from Santander telling me to never give someone remote access to my computer after a cold call. Perhaps I should complain to the CEO about this outrageous misuse of my telephone number, as I have never explicitly given them permission to send me a text message about scams. :think:0

All banks are jumping through hoops getting ready for new GDPR rules starting in May.
I was logging in to my bank's internet banking only yesterday and they were trying to get me to accept email and mobile as a preferred method of contacting me - do you think the OP has had something similar and just clicked ''accept'' without reading what he clicked - so he may have given authorisation for the text all along?0 -

How can you tell if the email or text from the Bank is genuine ? please? Does your bank have an online statement that basically says you are responsible to check the authenticity of an email or text please ?
Why do you make life so difficult for yourself?
Why don't you just work off a simple rule of always instigating contact first and ignoring other communication if you doubt the authenticity of everything?0 -
