What possible security risk could there be in individual users knowing which group they're in and what site/forum functionality they're missing out on as a result?

I sometimes look at the loldogs and lolcats threads, I haven't noticed any missing images.

I appear to have changed 'user group', I now have a spam button, I've even used it to see if it works

I'm still without. So clearly I'm left behind in whatever user group I currently occupy.

Me too. I used the "report" to notify of a load of Spam, and I got back a message saying "you should use the spam button instead" but I can't see and have never seen a spam button, but at least I now know where it should be and can confirm it isn't there.

Looking at the posting dates and join dates of those who have posted here, it looks like it's two years on the forum and you get the button?

Same for me. Reported a bunch of spam and got a message asking me to use the spam button... but I don't have it
