SF's road to MF/FIRE: Part I

So, I am back! I need to get back to writing things down, regularly assessing where we are and planning accordingly. I feel like our finances have definitely been a bit haphazard of late, and it shows in our savings and our current account. And, I'm a planner so I think this will help me in the long term.
December aims:- 12 NSDs
- Overpay mortgage by £185
- Put £300 into savings
- Make a success of the make £10 a day challenge (£310)
So, fairly straightforward and not as pressured as previous months. I have really struggled with having NSDs lately, so just putting 12 seems achievable to me in one of the busiest months of the year. Today is number 1 as we've just been at home
Overpaying the interest on our mortgage each means that the actual mortgage payment each month goes to paying it off. The savings is lower than it has been in months but I'll be amazed if I manage that, to be quite honest.
The make £10 a day challenge is something I'm doing with a friend and it's to help motivate me to list the things I keep meaning to on ebay and have a general sort out before Christmas. If I get round to it, I am confident I can get close to this! It would be a good end to the year if I can
I've been sat this evening going through our accounts, writing down DDs and setting new budget numbers. I'm going back to cash envelopes for December too, as that did help last time. I've got DH on board too, so we'll see how it goes.
I'm ready to get back on track :ABe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

So, I'm only up to 1 NSD so far; am finding it a bit more tricky than I thought I would but will plod along.
I've transferred £5.54 into savings today. Little and often. I need to get into the habit of checking and transferring every day; I used to do this all the time and have just let it go by the wayside, like with everything else.
Nothing much else to reportBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
