Cadburys double decker 4 bars Scam at Aldi Lidl

Cadburys 4 bars packs are £1 for 4 bars pack at Morrisons and Asda regular normal 47 g size.
But Aldi and Lidl have a nice little scam designed to deceive where their 4 pack scam
pack is £1 BUT each chocolate bar is the smaller 40 G size. With reduced nougat topping

Is the packaging compliant with weights and measures legislation? if the packaging says that the bars are 40g then there is no scam. It's not even misleading if you can read & many people like the smaller bars as they have 17.5% fewer empty calories

But OP took time out of their busy day to join up and alert us to this 'scam' - even to the detail of reduced nougat making up the weight difference :rotfl:

I was rather hoping the 'scam' was the fact there were only 3 bars

It's no different to Poundland and all the other cheapie places. When comparing prices you always need to check you are comparing like for like.

And don't get me started on how Toblerones are but a shadow of their former selves.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

If it's properly labelled, there's no scam....you just need to read.

I'd actually be willing to pay extra for this.
    Nasty teeth-sticking-together stuff.

Seriously, as with most threads that claim 'scam', 'con', 'rip-off' and similar terms, there is no scam here.

A "standard" Twix bar comes in 3 different weights, 20g, 23g and 25g so you have to be careful when comparing all the different packs.

The bars at Asda are Not the old "fullsize" either. The argumen that people prefer less calories is plain daft, just dont eat them at all!

Asda were selling Picnic bars in 4x48g for £1 and Tesco were selling the 4x38g for the same.

Asda are selling McVities Digestive twin pack for £1.89, Tesco for £1.99 but the Asda pack is 2x400g and Tesco is 2x500g. Not for long though as Tesco have them RTC for £1.29.

I'm still holding out hope that one of these days I will read a thread with 'scam' in the title, and it will actually be a scam. One of these days........
