we were meant to be exchanging and completing tomorrow as a ftb buying our flat with a 100% mortgage.

The solicitor has fudged something so it's now supposedly going to happen next Friday :rolleyes:

House been on market for 1 1/2 weeks my chances of selling by xmas are slim to none!! If it sells atall. Despite being assured by the EA that its a good house at a good price we havent had much interest! ARGH scarey!

We've set a date of 7th December if not before. Just waiting on the last of the searches, bit more paperwork and we'll be ready . . . . . . . hopefullly!!!

nearly there now, hoping to exchange next week with a completion date of the 30th or 7th

We're a little bit closer now. Got over our survey hurdle, the contracts are being looked over by the solicitors and we've put forward our ideal completion date from 15th December. So now that is being put forward to the other sides solicitors so see if they agree?

Hi all - I'll join in - what the heck!

Despite not planning to move until next year we've fallen in total love with a repossession house - this was last week. (We haven't seen it in the flesh yet thou!). We're going on mon to view. Our shared ownership house isn't on the market yet but we've already had potential buyers around (renters from next door) and they seemed very keen.

I'm crossing my fingers that they'll make an offer before monday so that we can make an offer on monday and we'll all be moved by xmas. Optomistic, moi??

We'll see!

We exchanged yesterday and complete tomorrow. Our first home. So excited Not going anywhere however as just found out I'm pregnant so will need all money saving tips I can get

The vendor of the house I am buying wants to complete before Xmas. To be honest, I'm reluctant as I would rather have Xmas in my current home (where at least I know my cooker is working :rolleyes:) than be surrounded by boxes, no decorations and none of the utility companies open for days at a time.

A new year move would suit me much better. Let's hope the solicitors drag their heels a bit.
