Another thing, if he is Driving Children or Vulnerable Adults as part of his job you may be required to get him CRB/DBS checked this will also show any past convictions
    From the Plain Language Commission:

"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"

I'm suspecting that the arrangement is slightly less formal than this.

OP - what's the issue with just asking ?

Why is everyone on here so interested in the personal facts of this.
The person concerned is my odd job guy, he does my garden and odd DIY around the house. He drives my car when working, although he has his own. I was told by a mutual acquaintance, that he was arrested on Saturday, late afternoon, (driving his own car) and was kept overnight until early afternoon yesterday. To have been kept that long leaves me to believe that there was something serious going on. I have told you all I can, all I want to know is there a list of forth-coming court cases in a local magistrates court, if so I want to attend to get the full story as I feel that he will be economical with the truth if asked.

You can ring them every week and ask if he is due to appear.

You want to pry into someone else's personal life but you're upset that people (on a public forum at that) are asking 'personal' questions?

    Unbelievable Jeff.

The court lists are publicly available. If they can be bothered they might or they might tell you to pop down and look at them.

Once their detention is authorised the police have 24 hours. Nothing to suggest how serious the case is from what you’ve posted.

He has no idea that I am aware of him having been arrested, so I think I am entitled to know, don't you?
You may think you are, but...
no, you are not entitled to know.
If you have nothing productive to say, may I suggest you scroll past. I don't have time for people who waste my time. I think I have every right when my g/children's safety. Wouldn't you want to know? I suspect you would. I am concerned that he will not tell me the result of the case, because he knows he will lose his job.
You asked a straightforward question and I provided an answer to the best of my ability.

I'm sorry you don't like my answer, but I fail to see how my answer was 'unproductive'.

How did I waste your time?

Careful, I don't think you appreciate who you are talking to...
